Imogen arrived at Rowan’s office just as it was time to leave work. She was telling him that she wanted to go shopping in a sweet voice.
“Tell Natalie to pick the kids up. It’s been so long since you went shopping with me.” Imogen sat on Rowan’s lap. After sharing those intimate moments, Rowan didn’t avoid her like he used to.
“If you don’t shop for lingerie with me, I’d have nothing to wear tonight.” She nuzzled against his chest, blushing in
embarrassment.
“Alright, I’ll go with you,” Rowan agreed dotingly as he gently pinched the tip of her nose.
They were too wild and aggressive in bed, and lingerie was practically unnecessary. Rowan had torn Imogen’s nightgown, so he had to buy her a new one.
After buying some undergarments from the mall, Imogen deliberately brought Rowan to a jewelry store. She even told the staff to bring out the store’s prized item.
“It’s 13 million dollars. Not too expensive. I quite like it.” Imogen wore the necklace and showed it to Rowan. “Rowan, do I look good in this?”
“Not bad.” Rowan thought it was quite expensive, but he kept the thought to himself.
He was merely the CEO of Payne Holdings, Payne Group’s subsidiary company. He didn’t have full control over the funds.
“Could you buy it for me? Think of it… as a birthday gift for me,” Imogen begged sweetly and tugged at his hand.
“Imogen, my career is-” What Rowan meant to say was that his career was on the rise.
“Are you buying or not?” Imogen cut him off. She only wanted him to buy the necklace for her. There was no way she was inferior to Natalie.
The couple debated for a while in the jewelry store. Left with no choice, Rowan spent over ten million dollars to buy the diamond necklace for Imogen.
On the other end of the mall, Natalie had made some effort to disguise herself by wearing sunglasses and a mask Holding her phone, she took photos of Rowan and Imogen acting intimately in the store.
After they left, Natalie went into the jewelry store.
“Hi, miss. How can I help you?” the sales assistant greeted warmly.
“I’m the secretary of the man earlier. He told me to get a receipt for the jewelry so that he could claim it from the company,” Natalie explained to the sales assistant.
“But I’ve already given them the receipt.”
“My boss said the receipt you gave him was for his girlfriend. He needs another copy to claim from the company,” Natalie pressed on.
Seeing that the sales assistant wasn’t responding, Natalie added, “My boss is the biggest customer here. Do you want to offend him?”
“Of course not. Please wait a moment. I’ll get the receipt now.”
After getting the receipt, Natalie glanced at the information on the computer screen.
Meanwhile, outside the jewelry store, a few young men clad in suits walked past. The man leading the group stopped in his tracks, staring at the figure inside the store.
Behind him, his assistant was reporting to him.
