Damon reviewed the files his son presented. Recalling Lucius’s words, it was clear that his daughter had mentioned the casting choice to Lucius, and it had displeased him. Perhaps Theon was right–Lucius was annoyed that Livia was actively recommending an actor to star opposite her. In any case, it was clear that Rigby was no longer an option.
“Alright,” Damon decided. “We’ll go with your recommendation. Cast Fulbright as the male lead. Have the marketing department release the news. Starlight Media hasn’t announced their lead yet, so we can beat them to the punch and generate some buzz.”
Vindicated, Theon eagerly replied, “Great, I’ll get right on it!”
Leaving his father’s office, Theon contacted Director Benedict. “Benedict, my father has decided to cast Fulbright as the male lead.”
“Sounds good,” Benedict agreed without objection. While he felt Fulbright’s acting had become a bit too technical and that Rigby had more natural talent, Rigby’s negative press was too much of a risk. Casting him would likely trigger a public backlash.
“I’ll notify Fulbright and follow up with the contract,” Benedict said.
“Good.”
After speaking with the director, Theon went to the marketing manager. “The casting for ‘Heaven’s Will‘ is getting a lot of attention, with fans eagerly awaiting the official cast list. If we announce the leads for our original series, ‘Soaring High‘, first, we’ll definitely steal some
of that thunder.”
“I understand, Mr. Tyson,” the marketing manager replied.
Theon emphasized, “You also need to understand that this series is my first project since joining the company. I need a decisive victory to impress my father.”
The marketing manager was confident. “Don’t worry, Mr. Tyson. Gale Entertainment is an established company. Our marketing capabilities are far superior to that newcomer, Starlight Media. We’ll make sure none of their promotions make a splash online!”
Theon was satisfied. This Larissa had been causing quite a stir in Regal City lately, even offending Mr. Lincoln. It was all because she’d married into the Palmer family that she dared to be so arrogant. He was eager to see for himself if she was really as capable as everyone said. A strong performance here would not only secure his inheritance but also earn him the powerful backing of the Lincoln family.
In a run–down apartment complex, a young man was changing the IV drip for an unconscious middle–aged man on the bed. Just then, the phone on the bedside table rang.

Rigby finished with the IV, sat down, and answered the call.
“Rigby, you were rejected again. You didn’t get the part in the Gale Entertainment series.
Hearing the news, Rigby lowered his gaze, his eyelashes fluttering. He had thought this was finally his chance, but once again, he was turned away.
“Lacey, can you please try to fight for me? I really need the money right now…”
His agent, Lacey, sighed on the other end. “I’m really powerless here, Rigby. You’ve offended too many people in this industry with that temper of yours. Almost no director is willing to hire you.”
“Director Benedict was willing to give you a chance despite your past, but the chairman of Gale Entertainment refused. It’s probably impossible for you to continue in this business. I think you should just quit.”
