Wings of Broken Time by Alina Das 564
“Alright. Talk to you tonight.”
After watching Larissa enter Starlight Media, Haskell’s gaze hardened.
“Crispin, I want you to use the trafficker lead to find my brother within two weeks. You have access to all Palmer family resources, including my twenty–four personal guards. Can you do it?”
“Yes, sir,” Crispin replied without hesitation.
Haskell said little more. “Good. I trust you.” He then closed his eyes, a faint frown creasing his brow as he sank into thought.
Not long after Larissa returned to her office at Starlight Media, she received a call from Nightveil.
“Boss, that actress, Tawny, does have a powerful figure backing her. I’ve sent you the file.”
“Got it.”
Larissa set aside her work and opened the file Nightveil had sent. The information largely confirmed what Wynn had told her. It seemed the scandalous stories about Wynn online were indeed fabrications orchestrated by this powerful man. Tawny had been forced to break up with Wynn, and Wynn had never cheated on her with his assistant. Now, this so–called powerful figure had a life on his hands, and who knew how much more blood was
on them.
Larissa closed the file and dialed Gustave’s number. “Gustave, I’ve decided to cast Wynn as the male lead for ‘Heaven’s Will‘.”
Gustave was clearly delighted. “Excellent! I really think Wynn is the perfect fit. If you’re on board, then it’s settled!”
After hanging up, Larissa leaned back in her chair, a relaxed smile on her face. Now, all she had to do was wait for Gale Entertainment to walk right into her trap, cast the actor she’d set up for them, Fulbright, and watch them pour money into a series that would never see the light of day.
Over at Gale Entertainment, Damon received a call directly from Lucius, asking who had been cast as the male lead for their upcoming series, ‘Soaring High‘.
“We haven’t decided yet. It’s between Fulbright and Rigby.”
“Who does your daughter want?”

Chapter 564.
Lucius’s question caught Damon off guard. He quickly replied, “Livia is pushing for Rigby. Thinking Lucius might be calling to support his daughter, Damon asked nervously, “Mr. Lincoln, would you like me to follow Livia’s recommendation and cast Rigby?”
“No,” Lucius said. “I’m just reminding you to do your due diligence. Don’t cast an actor who will prevent your show from being released.”
“I understand,” Damon said quickly. “My son is already running background checks on both actors. I’ll make sure nothing jeopardizes ‘Soaring High‘!”
“If it does, Gale Entertainment can go down with it,” Lucius warned before hanging up.
Just then, Damon’s illegitimate son, Theon, entered the office with the information he had gathered on Fulbright and Rigby.
“Dad, look, I was right. We can’t choose Rigby. He was a bully in school, even spent time in juvenile detention. After he debuted, he assaulted a director. Even though he paid to make it go away, people in the industry still avoid him.”
“Fulbright, on the other hand, has a sterling reputation. He’s always polite and professional on set, never late, and most importantly, has never been involved in any scandals with female stars.”
