“Of course, Mr. Tyson. I understand,” Magnus replied immediately.
Just then, Livia cut in. “What about
me, Dad?”
Damon looked at her, confused. “What about you?”
“I want to work at the company too,” she said, her expression serious.
His patience wore thin. “Work at the company? You’re one of our artists, and you’re about to marry Mr. Lincoln. Your job is to be Mrs. Lincoln and enjoy a life of leisure. Leave the business of running a company to your brother.”
Theon Tyson couldn’t hide the triumphant glint in his eyes. “Sis, countless women would kill to marry Mr. Lincoln. You’re going to be a top–tier socialite. You won’t need to worry about work. Just leave the company to me.”
Livia’s eyes filled with resentment, but she didn’t argue. Instead, she changed the subject. “I came here today to ask about the male lead. Has he been chosen yet?”
“Benedict hasn’t made a final decision,” Damon replied.
“I heard he’s torn between Rigby and Fulbright,” Livia pressed.
Leopold recognized both names. Rigby was a rising star, but with a reputation for a bad temper. Fulbright was a critically acclaimed actor with a spotless record.
‘Do you have a preference?” Damon asked.
‘I want Rigby,” Livia stated flatly.
Leopold frowned. From a professional standpoint, Fulbright was the safer, better choice. Why would she push for Rigby?
“Why?” Damon asked, equally puzzled.

“I just think he’s the better actor,” she said simply.
On that point, Leopold had to agree. Rigby’s attitude was questionable, but his talent was undeniable.
Damon waved a dismissive hand. “Fine. I’ll pass your recommendation along to Benedict. Now go home and wait for the official announcement.” Livia said nothing more, simply turning and leaving the office.
“We’ll take our leave as well, Mr. Tyson,” Magnus said, gesturing for Leopold to follow.
Once outside, he told Leopold, “Mr. Tyson has agreed to pay your buyout fee. I’ll be in touch once everything with Starlight is settled.”
Leopold felt a wave of relief. “Thank you, Magnus.”
Magnus clapped him on the shoulder. “Don’t thank me. Just deliver results. This is a win–win for both of us. We both came from Starlight; we have to stick together.”
“I know,” Leopold mumbled, a bitter feeling rising in his chest. Not long ago, Magnus was just a manager at Starlight, while he was the respected second son of the Judson family. Now, he was being told they were equals. He truly was a king without a crown.
As soon as Livia was in her car, she dialed Larissa’s number.
‘Ms. Judson, you were right. My father has already brought his llegitimate son into the company to manage things. He’s planning to hand everything over to him!
can’t let that happen. I just did as you said and told my father I want Rigby for the lead role. But will he actually choose him?”
On the other end of the line, Larissa chuckled. “Of course not.”
