The Throne of Thorns Novel Chapter 450

Wings of Broken Time by Alina Das 450

[Wait, what? Starlight Media already has the rights to “Heaven’s Will“?]

[No way. When Mr. Lincoln wants a role for Livia, he gets it.]

[I have a source that says the rights for “Heaven’s Will” haven’t even been sold yet!]

(Ugh, Larissa is so annoying! First, she rides Mr. Lincoln’s coattails for popularity last night, then she pulls a publicity stunt with Leopold, and now she’s trying to steal Livia’s thunder. She’s everywhere. and I’m so sick of her!]

[Get Livia out of this mess. We don’t want her associated with Larissa’s bad luck!]

[Trying to compete with Livia for a role? Just wait until Mr. Lincoln crushes her!]

[Didn’t the publisher announce that Field of Lari is holding a small conference this weekend to meet with production companies? She’s supposed to be there in person to decide who gets the rights to her final book.]

[Ooh, where is it? I want to go and watch the drama unfold.]

[Me too! I want to see how Larissa plans to beat Gale Entertainment.]

[Source says it’s at that restaurant in Regal City, Paddy’s Home.]

The entire PR department at Starlight Media was on the verge of a collective meltdown. Their new boss was a magnet for controversy, and in a single day, she had managed to antagonize a legion of online trolls. The company’s official social media accounts were being bombarded with hate, and the team was working overtime just to keep the comment sections from turning into a complete

cesspool

The PR manager couldn’t believe it. He had never seen anyone simultaneously piss off three different

fanbases before.

“I hope this new CEO has a miracle up her sleeve,” he muttered to a colleague. “Otherwise, I’m jumping ship.”

But their opponent was the Lincoln family, the second most powerful dynasty in Regal City. What chance did they have?

“Ursa,” he said, turning to Larissa’s secretary, “you have to talk to her. Tell her to make peace with Leopold, capitalize on the buzz, do a collaboration, whatever. And for God’s sake, tell her to drop this ‘Heaven’s Will‘ nonsense. Going up against Gale Entertainment is suicide. Does she want to run this company into the ground?”

Ursa sighed, looking defeated. “She seems so certain she’s going to win. I can’t get through to her. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how our new CEO handles this crisis. We can always quit. A person can find a new job, but a company can’t just move.”

The PR manager slammed a file on his desk in frustration. “She’s so young and arrogant! I just want to see how she’s going to clean up this mess!”

Chapter 450

Ursa’s sigh was heavy with resignation. “You and me both. The whole company is waiting to see how she plans to buy the rights right out from under Field of Lari’s nose this weekend.”

Just before closing time on Friday, Ursa compiled all the employee work summaries and emailed

them to Larissa.

After everyone else had left, Larissa called Ursa into her office. “Ursa, this weekend, you will represent Starlight Media at the meeting for the rights sale of ‘Heaven’s Will‘.”

Ursa stared at her, dumbfounded. “What? Me?”

She quickly recovered. “But, Ms. Judson, Field of Lari’s editor specifically requested that a senior executive with decision–making power attend. I… I don’t think I’m qualified.”

“Don’t worry about it,” Larissa said breezily. “You’ll be fine.”

Ursa was completely baffled. “Ms. Judson, this is a huge opportunity. Are you not going yourself? Is there something more important you have to do? I don’t understand. Getting the rights to ‘Heaven’s Will‘ could be the key to Starlight Media’s survival against Gale Entertainment and the other big players.”
