Wings of Broken Time by Alina Das 424
Chapter 424
Livia’s heart skipped a beat, but her expression quickly shifted to one of pitiful vulnerability. She lowered her head, dabbing at the corners of her reddened eyes as tears welled up.
“Lucius,” she whimpered, her voice thick with hurt, “is Honora all you care about?”
Her tear–streaked face was a picture of innocence that would have moved any other man.
Milton chimed in, “See, Mr. Lincoln? She’s clearly just jealous.”
Lucius ignored him, his piercing gaze still fixed on Livia. “It’s not what you think between her and me. Stop this foolishness and hand her over. I need her to deal with Larissa.”
At his words, Livia bit her lip and began to sob softly. “I don’t know where she is. I just had my people rough her up a bit and then they left her on the side of the road.”
She looked up, her eyes shimmering with tears, a truly heartbreaking sight.
Lucius stared at her in silence, the tension in the room mounting with every passing second.
Finally, Livia broke under the pressure, her eyes growing redder as she choked out, “Are you really going to be angry with me over some irrelevant woman?”
Lucius remained silent for a long moment before finally speaking, his tone laced with a distinct warning. “I’ll let it go this time. But don’t let it happen again. From now on, you will not interfere in my affairs without my permission. Otherwise… you’ll face the consequences.”
Livia flinched slightly and nodded quickly. “…I understand.”
Milton, sensing the shift, quickly changed the subject. “It’s eight o’clock! Is it time to see that bitch Larissa’s video?”
When Lucius’s assistant nodded, Milton’s excitement was palpable. “Alright, boys, time for a show!”
Led by Milton, the sycophants eagerly pulled out their phones and opened Twitter. Sure enough, hashtags like #Haskell Cuckolded and #Larissa Sugar Baby were trending.
But when they clicked on the video, they saw a familiar face–Jagger, the one who’d been arrested. The other person, however, wasn’t Larissa. It was… Lucius.
The room fell silent.
Milton and the others stared at their screens, their faces contorted in horror. They exchanged panicked glances, seeing the same abject shock mirrored in each other’s eyes, before their heads swiveled in unison toward Lucius.
Sensing the sudden, strange shift in the atmosphere, Lucius frowned. “What is it?”
Milton’s hands were trembling, his voice laced with fear. “…Mr. Lincoln, maybe you should

see for yourself…
Livia had already seen the video. With feigned concern, she handed her own phone to Lucius At the same time, she put on a heart–wrenching performance.
“I was wrong,” she said, her voice breaking. “My rival isn’t Honora, it’s… it’s… Never mind. I don’t think I can go through with this marriage.”
As if overcome by grief, she turned her head away, pretending to weep.
A sense of foreboding washed over Lucius. He took the phone, his brow furrowed, and his eyes widened in shock as he saw the face on the screen.
The person intimately entwined with his uncle in the video was, unmistakably, himself.
