The Throne of Thorns Novel Chapter 419

Wings of Broken Time by Alina Das 419

Chapter 419

“Rest assured, Mr. Lincoln,” Damon said. “I’ve already given the order. The video will be released tonight at eight o’clock. We’ll make sure that girl’s reputation is in tatters. From now on, no one in this city will be able to think of her without remembering this scandal.”

Satisfied, Lucius stood up. “I’ve spoken with the other entertainment companies in Regal City. They’ve all agreed to block Starlight Media’s resources at every turn. Now, all that’s left is for you to prepare for the conference this Saturday. I don’t care what it takes, but the rights to “Heaven’s Will” cannot fall into Starlight Media’s hands.”

He paused, adding another warning. “And make sure your daughter behaves. I have no patience for disobedient women. If she plays her part, the lead role in “Heaven’s Will” will be hers. If not, I have no problem recasting it.”

“I understand. I will have a serious talk with Livia,” Damon promised, walking Lucius to the

elevator.

As soon as Lucius was gone, Damon furiously dialed his daughter’s number. “You foolish girl! How dare you cause trouble for Mr. Lincoln!”

On the other end, Livia’s voice was a mixture of tears and anger. “Dad, he’s keeping another woman! We’re engaged, and he’s already cheating on me! What do you think will happen after we’re married? Do you really want me to marry him?”

“Every successful man has his affairs!” Damon retorted. “You should be grateful that Mr. Lincoln even looks at you. Stop causing trouble!”

“Other women can tolerate their husbands having mistresses, but I can’t! If Lucius insists on keeping Honora, then I’m calling off the engagement!”

“You-”

Before he could finish, she hung up. Damon was livid. If he angered Lucius now, his company wouldn’t just lose a powerful ally, it would face ruin.

After her call with Livia, Larissa walked into her villa to find not only her parents but also her five uncles and her maternal grandparents waiting for her.

“Larissa, you’re back,” Stanley Turner said warmly.

“Was your first day at work exhausting?” Levi Turner asked with concern.

“Did you run into any problems? I was waiting for you to call me for help,” Vaughn Turner said, looking hopeful.

“We were in such a rush yesterday, I didn’t have a chance to get you a proper gift,” Levi said, opening a velvet box. Inside was a necklace adorned with a rare pink diamond, a

piece so priceless it was practically legendary.

Not to be outdone, Stanley, Tavish, and Vaughn presented their own gifts.

“Levi’s gift is so common,” Stanley declared. “I, on the other hand, bought you a helicopter. Here are the keys. For the upcoming holiday, if traffic is bad, you can just fly.”

He pressed the remote key into her hand.

Tavish pushed Stanley aside, holding up a vest. “I got you a bulletproof vest. It’s knife- and bullet–resistant. A little extra protection in case you ever find yourself in danger.”

Vaughn chimed in. “And I bought you a yacht. You can take your friends on trips to the islands.”

Larissa didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Just then, Rafe, who always preferred a more understated approach, calmly produced a binder. “Larissa, this is a market analysis I prepared for you today. It details the current state of every entertainment company in Regal City. It should be helpful as you manage Starlight Media.”
