Chapter 409
“My sources say that Lucius plans to take the private video of Jagger Lincoln and his mistress and use Al to deepfake your face onto the woman’s,” Nightveil continued. “He wants to ruin your reputation.”
Larissa was so dumbfounded she almost laughed. “A deepfake of me and that old man Jagger? If that’s the best revenge Lucius can come up with, he’s even more pathetic than I thought. No wonder they call him the eternal second–best.”
“How do you want to handle it, boss? We still have that video of Jagger torturing endangered animals. We could swap it in before they release theirs…”
“Jagger’s already in jail over the slave labor scandal in Myanmar,” Larissa said. “Releasing a video of him abusing animals now is pointless.”
“So, what’s the plan?”
“Use Al to swap the mistress’s face with Lucius’s.”
There was a moment of silence on the other end, followed by a choked cough.
“Understood.”
Larissa hung up, a smirk on her face. She wondered what Lucius’s expression would be when he saw himself and his uncle trending online.
Back in her office, it wasn’t long before Ursa escorted Leila Baylor in.
“Ms. Judson, Leila Baylor is here to see you.”
“Send her in,” Larissa said. She printed out a contract she had drafted earlier and had Ursa hand it to Leila. “This is the company’s contract for you. Take a look, and if everything seems fine, you can sign it.”
Leila didn’t know much about the ins and outs of contracts, but she trusted Larissa. She quickly skimmed the sections on salary and breach of contract, and finding them acceptable, she signed her name without hesitation.
“Who will be managing Leila, Ms. Judson?” Ursa asked. “Kitty, who used to manage Leopold, has resigned. Mimosa is already handling three artists and has made it clear she doesn’t want any newcomers…”
Larissa leaned back in her chair. “I know that most of the experienced agents Finley brought in don’t respect me yet. They wouldn’t be willing to put any real effort into managing a newcomer I brought in. So, I’ll manage Leila myself.”
Ursa looked slightly embarrassed. “…Very well
After Ursa left, Larissa filed Leila’s contract away. “You heard what she said. I’ve just taken over, and a lot of people here don’t trust me yet. I’ll be managing you personally,

which means you have to work hard. The only way to stop bullies like Garrick from pushing you around is to build your own power and status.”
Leila nodded fiercely. “I understand. Thank you Ms. Judson, for giving me this chance! I won’t let you down!”
“Have you read Field of Lari’s novel, ‘Heaven’s Will‘?” Larissa asked.
Leila’s eyes lit up. “Yes! Field of Lari is my favorite author! ‘Heaven’s Will‘ was her first masterpiece. Even though it started as a web novel, the writing and depth are on par the classics. I’ve read it at least three times, and I discover something new with each reading!”
Larissa was pleased. “Good. Go home and study the female lead’s character again.” Leila froze, a wild, unbelievable thought flashing through her mind.
Could it be…?

Seeing her expression, Larissa confirmed it. “You’re a perfect fit for the role. I’m going to cast you as the lead in ‘Heaven’s Will‘.”
Leila could hardly believe it. A newcomer like her, landing the lead role in a blockbuster IP like “Heaven’s Will“?
Besides the rights to Field of Lari’s final novel were being fought over by every major entertainment company. There was no guarantee that Starlight Media could even secure
them.
And yet, for some reason, Leila had a feeling that no matter how difficult the challenge, if Larissa set her mind to something, she would undoubtedly succeed.
