Chapter 394
Sharon walked closer, glancing down at her idiot brother pinned beneath Lucius’s foot.
“You must be joking, Mr. Lincoln. I don’t need to beg you for anything. I’ll ask you once. Are you going to let him go?”
Jagger, both annoyed and confused, interjected, “Didn’t the Dillons kick him out to deliver food? Why do you still care what happens to him?”
“How I manage my idiot brother is my family’s business,” Sharon replied coolly, her gaze fixed on Lucius. “Just as you, Mr. Lincoln, have to clean up the messes of your useless uncle, even though you know he’s nothing but trouble.”
Jagger’s face flushed with anger. What was wrong with the younger generation in Regal City? They had no respect.
“Mr. Lincoln,” Sharon said, her voice dropping a fraction, “move your foot.”
Lucius stared at her for a long moment, gauging her resolve. Seeing she was serious, he slowly lifted his foot.
The Lincolns were planning to use Haskell’s injury as an opportunity to crush the Palmers. Though the Dillons were not their equals, antagonizing them now would be a strategic mistake, trapping them in a two–front war.
The moment he was free, Torrin scrambled to his feet and lunged at Lucius. Before his fist could connect, Sharon drove her own into his stomach, doubling him over.
“Had enough fun?” she asked icily. She pulled a handkerchief from her pocket, balled it up, and shoved it into Torrin’s open mouth as he gasped for air. “Take him away,” she ordered her bodyguards.
“Mmph! Mmph!”
Torrin was unceremoniously hauled away.
Jagger watched, aghast, as his nephew did nothing to stop them. “Lucius, are you just going to let them walk all over us like that? Look at my face!”
Lucius’s brow was still furrowed in irritation. “Uncle, if you don’t want people to look down on you, then start acting respectable. If you can’t even win a simple fight, you deserve to be beaten. I don’t have time to clean up your messes.”
With that, he and his bodyguards left the bar.
Jagger, left alone, spun on the remaining onlookers. “What are you all staring at? Get out!”
The crowd scattered.
“And you, you little Palmer brat, you just wait!” Jagger snarled at Avril before hurrying after Lucius.
“Avril, we’re leaving too,” her three friends said, still shaken from the ordeal. Now that the spectacle was over, they just wanted to go home.

The gossipers who had mocked her earlier now looked at her with smug satisfaction.
“See, Avril? This is what you get for associating with Larissa. You almost got dragged into it.”
“We warned you. Crossing the Lincolns is serious business. Anyone close to Larissa is going to get hurt. You should distance yourself from her while you still can.”
“Yeah, do you really think Larissa can take on the Lincoln family? Why don’t you tell her how Jagger almost beat you up tonight and see if she dares to get revenge for you.”
Avril, who had just begun to relax, felt her temper flare. “Don’t you dare underestimate her. Just you wait and see. In the end, it’ll be Larissa who brings down the entire Lincoln family!”
“Ha! Keep dreaming.”
“Avril, I used to think you were smart, always staying neutral in the Palmer family power struggles. But you’ve lost your mind lately. First, you side with the cripple Haskell, and now you’re backing Larissa. You’ve bet on two losing hands.”
“Losing hands?” Avril laughed. “I’m holding a royal
