Chapter 325
Solomon stepped forward with a cold smile.
“Who were you expecting? Your big brother Haskell? After what you did to him, you actually expected him to come and save you?” He chuckled. “Though, I have to admit, my men said Haskell did send someone for you. They were just a step too slow. It seems that even after you tried to take his life, he still cares about his dear little brother.”
“Where am I?” Draven croaked, looking around the damp cell. Rats and cockroaches scurried in the shadows, and water dripped from the ceiling.
“Africa,” Solomon said simply.
Draven’s eyes widened. “What did you bring me here for?”
“To use you against Haskell, of course, you useless piece of trash,” Solomon sneered. “I’m going to use the same trick you and Valeria tried on him. Since he still cares about you, he’ll definitely come to the rescue. I can’t touch him back home, but here, I am the boss. If he dares to set foot here for you, I guarantee he’ll die without a grave to return to.”
Draven scoffed. “You want to move against Haskell here? Aren’t you afraid our grandfather will suspect you?”
Solomon’s family business was based in Africa; if something happened to Haskell there, they would be the first suspects.
Solomon laughed coldly. “And what if he does? If Haskell dies, do you really think he, as angry as he might be, would kill another one of his own grandsons? Maybe if it were you or that idiot Garrick, but not me. Never me.”
Solomon was utterly confident in his standing with Zoltan. If it weren’t for Haskell, he would have been the undisputed heir to the Palmer family. Even Fraser couldn’t compare. If it weren’t for Haskell, he and his father wouldn’t be stuck managing the family’s assets overseas.
“Watch this waste of space. Don’t let him escape,” Solomon ordered his men. “Next month, leak the news to Haskell that Draven’s been kidnapped in Africa. Tell him if he doesn’t want his brother to die in a foreign land, he has to come rescue him in person.”
One of his men asked cautiously, “Should we specify that he must come alone?”
Solomon sneered. “It doesn’t matter. It makes no difference how many men he brings.”
Because here in this foreign land far away from home, he was untouchable. Haskell was just an ant he could crush at will.
“Yes, sir.”
The next morning, as Larissa ate breakfast, she saw a new transfer notification on her account. The medicinal herbs she’d entrusted to Mr. Lawson had been sold at auction for a high price. A nice

profit!
But her good mood was interrupted by a message from Avril, filled with screenshots of her conversation with Torrin. As usual, Torrin was spouting his typical arrogant and idiotic nonsense.
[Larissa, my dad making me a delivery boy might look like he’s trying to get me to give up on you, but actually, he’s grooming me. He wants me to learn from the ground up so I can take over the Dillon family business.]
[If you get with me now, it’s like a high–potential investment! I’m worth way more than that cripple Haskell!]
[Once I inherit everything, the Dillon family will surpass the Palmers as the top family in Regal City. And you, as my woman, will be the First Lady of Regal City!]
[Exciting to think about, isn’t it?]
[You and Haskell are just engaged. As long as you’re not married, you still have a chance to change your mind! The door to the Dillon family will always be open for you!]
And Avril’s replies were just as direct:
[I don’t believe it! I heard your older sister Sharon is way more competent than you. Your dad would have to be an idiot to hand the business to you. That’s like throwing money down a drain!]
[What are you comparing your value to Haskell’s with? Your thick skin? Your garbage can brain?] [First Lady of Regal City? More like the First Joke of Regal City!]
