The Impossible Condition Novel Chapter 367

Silent Dreams Never Die — Author: John Miller 367

Are you hear me? You got a death wish or something?”

As he spoke, Luke reached out to grab Damian’s shoulder.

Damian didn’t move, allowing Luke’s hand to clamp down on him.

Then, using the momentum of Luke’s grip, he slowly turned his head.

Luke was about to fire off another insult, but the moment he saw Damian’s face, he froze as if he’d seen a ghost. He stumbled several steps backward, only stopping when his back hit the wall.

Staring at Damian in horror, Luke managed a shaky, uneasy whisper. “How… how did you

me here?”

Damian didn’t answer. He dropped his cigarette to the floor, crushed it under his heel, and began closing the distance between them step by step.

With nowhere left to retreat, Luke blurted out, “Damian, don’t come any closer.”

A low, mocking sound escaped Damian’s lips. “I heard Naomi’s your girl?” he asked, his voice dangerously quiet.

At the mention of Naomi, Luke instinctively shot back, “Where did you take her?”

Damian only sneered and ignored the question. “And I heard,” he continued, his tone dripping with contempt, “that you can’t stand my girl.”

Luke shrank back into the corner, trembling all over. “Wh–who?” he stammered.

Damian raised an eyebrow. “Who do you

think?”

Luke avoided Damian’s gaze, shaking his head frantically. “I don’t know who you’re talking about.”

Damian’s voice hardened. “You let Naomi push her around, hit her, humiliate her. Luke,” he said, each word sharp and deliberate, “who do you think I’m talking about?”

Before he even finished speaking, Luke finally cracked under the pressure. He made a sudden, desperate lunge toward the door.

But Damian was faster. He seized Luke by the collar and yanked him backward, slamming him hard against the wall with a heavy thud.

Chapter 367 Damian’s Fists

In the bright bathroom light, tiny particles of dust swirled in the air where Luke’s body had struck.

Damian’s anger burned hotter. He shot his hand out and gripped Luke’s throat. His eyes turned a frightening shade of red, the corners dark and intense.

His voice dropped to a raw, almost broken whisper. “She hurts me, and I don’t even dare raise my voice to her,” he said, the words thick with emotion. “How dare you let someone lay a hand on her?”

Luke’s throat was locked in Damian’s vise–like grip; he could barely draw a breath.

But Damian’s bloodshot eyes remained fixed on him. “You think I won’t touch you just because Vincent’s your brother?” he pressed.

Luke clutched at Damian’s wrist with both hands, trying to pry the fingers loose, but it was

useless.

Realizing he was overpowered, Luke went limp. In a strained, raspy voice, he muttered, “If you lay a finger on me today… Vincent, Daniel, and Harris… they’ll make you pay.”

There wasn’t a trace of remorse in his tone–if anything, he sounded even more defiant.

Damian had heard enough. He hated being threatened more than anything.

And Luke’s defiance only made him want to act.

He was going to see exactly what Vincent, Daniel, and Harris could do to him.

Luke didn’t have time to react before Damian’s fist connected with his face.

The blow stunned him; he didn’t even try to fight back.

After releasing some of his pent–up rage, Damian finally stepped back.

Luke slumped into the corner of the bathroom, his face a mess of fear and bruises.

Damian walked over to the sink, turned on the faucet, and held his bruised, bloodied knuckles under the cool stream.

He watched as the water in the basin swirled red, then gradually cleared as the blood was washed away, leaving no trace behind.

Once his hands were clean, Damian left the water running. He lifted his gaze to the mirror, staring at Luke’s cowering reflection.

“Go ahead,” Damian said flatly. “Call them.”

Luke didn’t respond or move.

Damian let out a cold, humorless laugh.

Then he shut off the faucet, pulled a couple of paper towels from the dispenser, and dried his hands thoroughly.

After crumpling the towels into a ball, he tossed them toward Luke. “I’ll be here all night,” he said, his voice steady and cold. “I really want to see what you and your friends can do.”

Without another glance, Damian turned and walked out of the restroom.

Back in the private dining room, dinner was winding down, but nobody seemed in a hurry to leave. The conversation and laughter continued to flow.

Vincent had just finished toasting Thomas with Sabrina by his side when he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket.

He ignored it at first.

But it buzzed again shortly after.

After several persistent vibrations, Vincent realized it might be important. Leaning close to Sabrina’s ear, he murmured, “I need to take this call. I’ll be right back.”
