Rowan explained, “Of course not. I can find a crude and vulgar woman like Natalie everywhere on the streets. Who would ever feel attached to her?”
Natalie walked over to the custody papers and bent down to pick them up. Suddenly, a black leather shoe stepped squarely on top of the document.
She lifted her head and stared coldly at Rowan towering over her. Their eyes met, and there was nothing between them but hatred. There wasn’t even the slightest trace of affection.
The sky was dark, and raindrops suddenly began to fall, splattering across Rowan’s face. He didn’t move the foot pressing on the papers. Instead, he glanced up at the sky as a mocking smile curled on his lips.
“Natalie, do you see this?” He gestured at the rain dropping down from above. “Even the heavens are taking pity on you. Once you leave me, how do you think you’ll survive the days ahead?”
“Go away!” Sarah kicked Rowan hard in the leg. The strike from her tiny foot in her white pointed shoe was far from painless.
Rowan instinctively recoiled in pain, pulling his foot back. Natalie seized the chance to pick up the documents.
“You little brat!” Scarlet shrieked. “Is this what your mother teaches you? You have no respect for your elders at all. Biting me is one thing, but you even dare to kick your own father. Such a disrespectful child!”
She raised her hand, about to strike Sarah. However, Natalie reacted swiftly, grabbing Scarlet’s arm and shoving the old woman aside.
“From now on, Sarah has no father. She only has me, her mother,” Natalie said and wrapped Sarah protectively in her arms.
Imogen could tell that Rowan was in a very bad mood.
Thinking about how Natalie had produced so much evidence today, most of which was likely connected to her, she wanted to smooth things over a little and ease his temper.
She said, “Natalie, it’s not up to you if Sarah has a father or not. No matter where she is, the blood flowing in her veins is still Rowan’s, and her last name is Payne.
“After what you said today, don’t even think about coming back in the future. Don’t come kneeling in front of Rowan, crying and begging him to help you take care of Sarah.”
Natalie said nothing. She pulled out the stack of evidence from her bag and flung it hard at Rowan.
Before Rowan could even react, she threw another handful.
Photos and spending records fluttered down like snowflakes.
A photo of Rowan and Imogen kissing flashed before his eyes. He quickly barked an order to the bodyguards beside him, ” Pick them up. Now!”
If these photos were exposed, the greatest damage would be to the woman’s reputation. Imogen instinctively crouched down, hurriedly gathering the scattered photos.
Natalie took out the final piece of physical evidence from her bag. She tore open the seal of the transparent bag and dumped the lingerie straight over Imogen’s head.
Imogen was completely unprepared. Only when the dark objects blocked her vision did she grab them in shock.
“Natalie…” Imogen suddenly stood up, grabbing Natalie’s arm tightly.
She leaned in close and demanded coldly, “You planned all this, didn’t you? You deliberately provoked me and made Rowan buy me such expensive jewelry. And all this evidence… you’ve used me from the very beginning, haven’t you?”

Natalie shoved Imogen away and sneered. “So you’re not stupid after all. Isn’t this exactly what you wanted? I was just granting your wish.”
Imogen wanted to say more, but with Rowan still there, she swallowed her words.
At the intersection, two traffic police officers were still on patrol. Natalie stood there with Sarah, waiting for a cab.
Even if Imogen wanted to have the bodyguards teach Natalie a lesson, she couldn’t. All she could do was stomp her feet in frustration, swallowing her anger in silence.
“Natalie, you’ll regret the decision you made today!” Rowan shouted, staring at her retreating figure.
He roared in fury, “I haven’t even thrown you out yet, and you took it upon yourself to force a divorce on me! I want to see how long a spineless woman like you can last out there!”
“Don’t worry, Rowan,” Scarlet said with a twisted smile. “Natalie will come crawling back very soon. She’ll kneel in front of you, apologizing and admitting her mistakes.”
