Scarlett observed the unoccupied space, though she remained uncertain whether it was intentionally left for 

her. 

Regardless, she had no intention of sharing a bed with him again. 

She walked directly to the sofa, lay down, drew a blanket over herself, and switched off the main lights, leaving only a single dim lamp illuminated. 

Vincent watched Scarlett choose the sofa, his brow furrowing slightly. Yet his pride prevented him from swallowing his ego and inviting her to the bed. 

Thus, he remained silent in the growing darkness. 

Before long, the steady rhythm of Scarlett’s breathing filled the quiet room. 

Vincent initially thought he might be mistaken. He listened more attentively and confirmed she had indeed fallen asleep. 

The following morning, when Scarlett opened her eyes, Vincent was conspicuously absent from the large bed. 

She surmised he had likely gone for his customary morning run. 

Without dwelling on it further, Scarlett prepared herself and descended the stairs. 

She noticed the housekeeper working diligently in the kitchen and inquired casually, “Have you seen Vincent this morning?” 

The housekeeper paused thoughtfully before shaking her head. “No, Mrs. Stewart, I haven’t seen Mr. Stewart.” 

Scarlett merely responded with a neutral “I see,” dismissing the matter from her thoughts. 

It was still relatively early. She decided to breakfast with Xavier before departing for the hospital. 

Accordingly, she settled onto the living room sofa and began scrolling through her phone. 

Unlike previous behavior, she no longer felt compelled to actively ingratiate herself with the Stewart family. 

The household staff observed this change with some surprise. 

While browsing, Scarlett’s attention was caught by a viral topic that had exploded overnight. 

“Vincent Stewart Spotted Stargazing at Midnight with His Wife and Daughter-Picture-Perfect Family of Three.” 

She tapped into the post and found numerous media outlets sharing the story. 

Accompanying the articles were multiple photographs depicting Vincent, Vanessa, and Sabrina sitting closely together, their postures radiating comfort, happiness, and familial sweetness.
