I Cancel the Engagement and Level Way Up 75

Chapter 75

“Vivi has done well lately. You should spend more time with her. Don’t keep coming over here all the time. If she notices something, it’ll be troublesome when the time comes,” said Diana.

Sloane stood behind Diana, biting down hard on her teeth. Meanwhile, Logan took the glass and downed the water in one go. He couldn’t hide the irritation between his brows.

Upon seeing that, Diana asked, “What’s wrong? Did you and Vivi fight?”

Logan didn’t answer, and his expression remained dark. Sloane secretly felt pleased. She had known that Vivian was never the type to endure injustice quietly.

After Diana pressed Logan again and again, he finally told her about Vivian’s attitude. Diana had long been unhappy about how Logan used to constantly indulge Vivian. Now that there

was finally an opening, Diana naturally wanted Logan to take control of the situation.

“You’re about to get married already. Does she think she can still turn the world upside down? Her grandmother’s passing wasn’t your fault. You just didn’t make it there in time. A man having friends is perfectly normal. For her to even try to restrict who you associate with is going too far.

“She’s deliberately trying to establish dominance before the wedding. If you se

she’ll walk all over you after you’re married.”

in now,

For once, Logan listened without interrupting. So, Diana poured everything out in one go. In the meantime, Sloane stood quietly to the side. She said nothing, content to reap the benefits.

Logan had already made up his mind to give Vivian the cold shoulder. So, ever since that night,

he hadn’t sent her a single message or contacted her at all.

Several days passed. There were only two days left before Logan’s wedding to Vivian. And still,

she hadn’t reached out to him.

During this time, he had even been hanging out with Zane and the others, letting word of it reach her ears. Yet, she remained unmoved. She neither confronted him nor sent a single message. It was as though she had simply given up.

Logan was furious. He even treated Zane and the others with visible impatience. Zane knew about the conflict between Logan and Vivian, so Zane shamelessly leaned closer to Logan.

Zane began, “Logan, as long as Vivian hasn’t announced the wedding’s cancellation, it means she still has you in her heart. She’s just too proud by nature. If you don’t clip her wings a little, she’ll never give you a good attitude.”

Chapter 75

Logan’s hand tightened around his glass. He had tried every tactic these past few days, yet none of them worked on Vivian.

Thankfully, Jack had been keeping tabs on her movements and reporting back daily. Lately, the place she visited most often was the wedding planning company. She was still busy preparing for their wedding, and that alone gave Logan some reassurance.

Zane continued, “Logan, breaking a woman’s pride is actually easy. Just find a few people to give her a small lesson, then you swoop in and save her like a hero.

“In this way, she’ll cling to you for dear life. And because she has been tainted, she won’t be able to hold her head up around you anymore. She’ll rely on you and fear losing you…

Before Zane could finish, Logan’s fist smashed into Zane’s face. Just imagining such a scene made Logan’s chest ache. How could he ever use such despicable tactics on Vivian?

One punch wasn’t enough. Logan grabbed Zane by the neck and landed several more blows. The others had no idea what had happened and rushed over to pull them apart.

Logan yanked at his collar in agitation before grabbing a bottle from the table and hurling it at Zane. Glass shattered everywhere, and Zane’s head was split open.

No one knew what Zane had said to provoke Logan. Everyone just found Logan’s current state terrifying.

Zane hadn’t expected Logan to be so protective of Vivian. Pressing a tissue to his bleeding head, he smiled and said, “Logan, I was honestly just trying to help you. Vivian isn’t an ordinary woman. Normal methods won’t work on her.

“Besides, it isn’t like anyone would actually hurt her. If you don’t want others to do anything to her, just keep it light.”

Logan lunged forward and kicked Zane several more times before the others dragged him back again. Taking advantage of the chaos, Zane bolted out of the private room.

Even as Zane left, he was still unwilling to give up. Standing at the door, he said, “Logan, trust me. I won’t steer you wrong. If you feel guilty later, just make it up to her after you’ve got her under control.”

Logan shot Zane a glare, and the latter instantly fled.
