When I landed, there were dozens of missed calls and hundreds of texts.

“Are you okay?”
“Luna, if you need, I can ask HQ to let you handle family matters first before going to the branch.”
I clicked on the trends.
One titled “Maybe This Is What Happiness Looks Like” stood out painfully.
It was a blogger’s daily life snippets: with her son, with her “husband,” with her “mother-in-law.”
It looked warm, ordinary, happy.
If that “husband” weren’t James, and that “mother-in-law” weren’t Mrs. Miller.
In the blogger’s bio, a line stabbed my eyes: “After all the twists and turns, it’s still you walking with me till the end.”
After all the twists and turns. So I was just an extra in the story of these two leads.
