My Blind Love Chapter 3

Chapter 3 False Accusation

The next morning, Autumn showed up at the OB-GYN and was shocked to find Zachary there too. She couldn’t figure out why he wasn’t in Kristen’s hospital room where he should’ve been. When Zachary saw her, he froze for a moment. Then he walked over quickly. “Autumn, what are you doing at the hospital? Are you feeling okay?” Autumn looked down and avoided his concerned gaze. “I’m fine. Just here for a routine checkup.” Zachary stared at her calm expression, and for some reason, panic started rising in his chest. He wanted to ask more, but before he could say anything, his phone rang again. “Zachary, my ex-husband found out I’m pregnant, and he brought people to block the door of my room. I’m scared…” Kristen’s voice trembled through the phone. “Don’t worry, I’m coming right now!” Zachary’s face went pale, and he bolted out without looking back. Autumn hesitated for a moment, then decided to follow him. When she got there, she saw Kristen’s ex-husband, Tyler Bennett, trying to drag a struggling Kristen away. Zachary’s eyes went red with rage. He charged forward and swung his fist hard at Tyler, landing a solid punch before Tyler could dodge. Tyler took the hit and cursed loudly. “Zachary, what the hell is wrong with you?” Zachary quickly pulled the frightened Kristen into his arms and spoke coldly, “Where the hell do you think you’re taking her?” “Where do you think? Home, obviously. I’m not letting my kid grow up somewhere else.” Kristen pressed herself into Zachary’s chest. “No, I’m not going back. The baby isn’t yours. It’s Zachary’s.” Tyler laughed in disbelief. “Zachary, you’re sleeping with your wife’s sister? Does Autumn even know about this?” Before Zachary could answer, Kristen cut in. “So what if she knows? Autumn was just my replacement anyway. Now that I’m back, she needs to step aside. Right, Zachary?” Zachary frowned at her words, but he didn’t deny it. Autumn clutched the abortion consent form in her hand and quietly slipped away. Three hours later, she came home with a pale face and went straight to the housekeeper. “Pack up all the clothes, bags, and jewelry Zachary gave me. I want everything sold, and donate all the money to a children’s charity.” She stood there watching the resale people load item after item into their truck, like she was throwing away ten years of foolish hope. That was when Zachary walked in and froze at the scene in front of him. “Autumn, why are you selling all this stuff? I thought you loved these things?” She looked up at him. “Not anymore.” She’d only loved them before because they came from him. Now that she didn’t care about him anymore, why would she care about his gifts? Zachary didn’t think much of it. “We can go shopping in a few days and you can pick out some new things you like.” Autumn was about to change the subject when she heard shouting from outside. Kristen barged in with their mother, Vanessa Reeves. Kristen was crying as she yelled, “Autumn, why would you do this to me?” Autumn looked at her in confusion. “What are you talking about?” Kristen glared at her. “Stop playing dumb. Tyler already admitted it. You’re the one who told him I was pregnant. Why would you do that? Do you have any idea how long it took me to get away from that psycho?” Right then, Vanessa slapped Autumn hard across the face, her voice dripping with disgust. “Autumn, you’re so vicious. You already took everything from Kristen, and now you’re trying to ruin her too? Why?” Autumn took a deep breath and forced herself to stay calm. “It wasn’t me. I’m not admitting to something I didn’t do.” Kristen held up her phone, her eyes red and swollen. “Are you saying this account isn’t yours?”
