She Got the Divorce and Bolted Novel Chapter 67

She got the divorce and bolted 67

Sienna blinked, putting on an innocent expression. “Oh, but judging by how terrible your acting is, I’m afraid you won’t even make it to the award show. Should I grab a megaphone and spread the word for you?”

Melody’s face shifted from flushed to pale. Though she parted her lips to speak, she couldn’t utter a word in retort. Fearing that Sienna would act on her words, Melody hurried away.

After driving Melody away, Sienna idly flipped through the script.

“The Chronicle of Fallen Stars” followed the story of Estelle Stant, a villager thrust into palace life who, against all odds, rose to become a legendary female general.

Bold and spirited, Estelle had trained in martial arts from a young age. She climbed trees with ease, swam through rivers fearlessly, and dreamed of one day conquering the battlefield. But she was born a girl, and she was sent to the palace instead.

Estelle grew up alongside her childhood friend, Celene Howells, portrayed by Melody. Celene was Estelle’s opposite in every way–gentle, timid, and so delicate that she wouldn’t even harm an ant.

Soon, the two friends began their palace life together. While Estelle constantly stood up for the bullied maids, Celene bore the torment silently and often cautioned Estelle to stay out of trouble.

During her evening stroll, Estelle ran into the prince, Eurion Cormac. Mistaking him for a thief, she threw him over her shoulder and pinned him down. Eurion, however, kept his identity hidden, claiming he was just one of the palace guards.

After that encounter, the three of them became acquainted. The innocent and trusting Estelle quickly formed a bond with Eurion, while Celene found herself quietly developing feelings for him.

One day, Celene discovered the lion carving on Eurion’s emerald pendant. Realizing his true identity, she carefully planned an “accident“, turning her chastity into her leverage. Left without a choice, Eurion could only accept her as his concubine.

But the queen, Gwendolyn Lorcain, despised such scheming women. Though she couldn’t personally intervene, she instructed her sister, Olwina Lorcain–portrayed by Michelle–to make Celene’s life miserable.

Even though Estelle didn’t return Eurion’s feelings, he still carried a deep affection for her in his heart. That made Celene resentful, and she soon secretly wielded her authority against Estelle.

Disheartened by how much Celene had changed and disillusioned with palace life, Estelle fled the palace amidst the chaos. Disguising herself as a man, she joined the military and achieved remarkable feats on the battlefield.

Alas, the royal family she served was rotten to the core. After the king’s death, her own comrades turned on her during a battle. Gravely wounded, she was saved by the enemy general–Andreas Newman, the film’s male lead.

Andreas suggested Estelle change her allegiance, and after careful consideration, she agreed. Under Andreas‘ command, Estelle quickly earned a key post.

Meanwhile, Celene had shed all traces of her timid personality. She plotted to poison Olwina through her husband, orchestrated Gwendolyn’s death, and imprisoned Eurion.

The man she loved but could never have was reduced to little more than a puppet as she seized power in the royal court. Her hands were stained with many people’s blood.

When Estelle brought her army to the city gates, she came face to face with her former best friend. Alas, everything had changed.

Standing atop the city wall, Celene offered a bitter smile.

“If we had never entered the palace, would things have been different? Why is it that you always get what you want so easily, while I have to scheme for every little thing?”

With those last words, she leapt decisively from the city wall.

After reclaiming the city, Estelle treated the people with kindness and was honored as a female general. In the face of Andreas. ‘persistent advances, she firmly turned him down.

“Men will only get in the way of my sword,” she declared.

To the very end, the two generals fought side by side. That was the tale of “The Chronicle of Fallen Stars“.
