She got the divorce and bolted 48
What little sense of decorum Sienna had told her that if she kept throwing a fit, it would be downright rude. So, she sat down reluctantly.
Their seats were dead center in the sixth row. It was definitely VIP seating with an excellent view.
Miles sat alone in the fifth row, claiming it gave him a clearer view. In reality, he just didn’t want to sit in the same row as Sienna.
Well, it wasn’t like she was dying to sit next to him.
Sienna glanced around and noticed that there were barely any people in these few rows. They’d clearly been bought out.
For Melody, Clayton had spared no expense. Sienna wondered why he didn’t buy out the entire theater while he was at it. It was probably because Melody needed audiences to cheer her on.
After all, one could buy applause for a moment but not for a lifetime.
“The White Swan” was a highly popular urban stage play that had gained popularity in recent years. It wove together all the classic drama elements of love, friendship, betrayal, and human nature. It had been performed many times, and there was a lot of hype about it online.
Sienna had scrolled past plenty of discussions about the stage play before.
Melody played the female lead, Wynter Baker, a genius ballerina who was pure and elegant. She was the ideal woman to countless young men.
The story began with Wynter’s best friend, Paige Larssen, bringing her painter boyfriend, Shaun Coleman, to watch her ballet performance. At first glance, Shaun was captivated by Wynter as she danced gracefully on stage.
After the show, the three of them went out to eat. While Paige went to the restroom, Shaun exchanged numbers with Wynter. She agreed readily, not thinking much about it.
From then on, Shaun began contacting Wynter frequently. He asked her out to sketch together, saying that they resonated with each other as fellow artists. He even subtly belittled Paige, saying she didn’t understand art.
One day, Shaun confessed to Wynter, saying, “Only your dancing gives my painting a soul.”
Wynter rejected him. “Paige is my best friend. I won’t hurt her.”
Upon hearing that, Shaun broke up with Paige right away. He claimed that they had merely been together for seven years out
of habit.
Paige broke down. She begged and pleaded Shaun to stay. When she accidentally wandered into Shaun’s studio, she finally understood everything.
The walls were covered in portraits of Wynter. Every single one was overflowing with love, along with lines of sickeningly
sweet declarations of adoration.
Unable to take the twofold betrayal from both her best friend and her boyfriend of seven years, Paige first had a huge fight
with Shaun and went to confront Wynter. During their argument, they knocked over a candle, and the fire spread.
Paige hadn’t slept for days in her maddened state. Scared witless, she instinctively fled the scene and didn’t save Wynter, who was pinned under a fallen pillar.
Afterward, Paige was consumed by guilt and hid herself away in a psychiatric hospital. In the end, she truly went insane. Meanwhile, Wynter inhaled a large amount of toxic fumes and developed a severe respiratory illness.
Still, she didn’t hate Paige. Instead, she said to the media, “I don’t blame her. She was just sick. I will continue to dance.”

Those words earned her even more sympathy, Shaun stayed by her side in the hospital for half a month and cared for her.
After being discharged, Wynter’s dance career soared. Her ballet performance made her famous nationwide. She fell in love at first sight with the handsome, wealthy investor of the dance troupe and went on to live happily ever after with him.
Stemma had frowned the first time she read the synopsis, Who even liked this kind of nauseating story?
Wynter had been flirting with Shaun, who was her best friend’s boyfriend. But this seemed to be brushed off because she forgave Palge. In the end, she went on to have it all and became the ultimate winner in life,
On stage, Melody had changed into a white tutu and was dancing lightly on her toes,
Though her figure was slightly on the fuller side, she exercised good control over her moves. When she spun, the skirt looked like a blooming petal. It prompted Miles to keep adjusting his posture, his head bobbing back and forth.
“How annoying,” Sienna muttered, Irritated by the constant movement,
Since she couldn’t leave, she swapped seats with Clayton and sat between him and Hayden.
What surprised her was that Clayton seemed genuinely absorbed in the performance. In the dim lighting, the sharp lines of his profile were especially pronounced. His long lashes cast faint shadows on his cheeks, and his thin lips were pressed together.
Was that really necessary?
This was Melody’s first stage play back in the country, and he was showing so much support. He gave her full respect and emotional value. Sometimes, Sienna wished she could crack open his head to see if it was filled with junk. Why did he have to be so uniquely devoted to Melody?
She thought back to her graduation ceremony in the second year of their marriage. Back then, she’d started pestering him a full month in advance. She had clung to him and begged him to come to her graduation.
Clayton had eventually relented under the constant nagging, brushing her off with a perfunctory, “I’ll see.”
Even so, Sienna had been overjoyed. She didn’t expect flowers from him. Just his presence alone would’ve been more than enough.
On the day of graduation, she waited from morning until sunset. She had scanned the sea of faces again and again, trying to spot him. Each time, she had been met with disappointment.
In the end, it was Michelle who couldn’t stand it anymore and forcibly dragged her away.
She had only wanted him to be there at an important moment in her life. Was such a small request really that hard to honor?
It seemed Clayton’s favoritism had always belonged solely to Melody.
Sienna’s mood sank. She lowered her gaze, hiding the gloomy look in her eyes. Sleepiness washed over her again, and she soon closed her eyes
The seat was too straight, so it was uncomfortable to sleep. Due to her subconscious resistance toward Clayton, her head bobbed and swayed.
In the end, it tilted and came to rest on Hayden’s shoulder.
