Sienna did not think much of it. That night, she was going to treat Michelle to a meal at a very popular restaurant. It was her way of thanking Michelle for letting her stay over for so many days.
Michelle sat opposite her and looked at the menu. Her eyes rounded. “The food here is really expensive. People could easily pay up to a six-digit figure for a meal here. What’s the occasion today?”
Sienna took a sip of the lemon water and said, “You can order whatever you want. It’s on me today!”
Sienna was in a cheery mood since she had received 1.01 million dollars and performed pretty well during today’s interview. She was so happy that she could even smile sweetly at a stranger.
Melody was an exception, of course.
As the two of them were chattering away, a soft voice interrupted their conversation. “Sienna, what a coincidence!”
They had no idea how long Melody had been standing next to their table. She looked weak and fragile wearing that white dress. “We’ll have to wait at least two hours if we join the queue outside now. Is it alright if we share a table?”
Michelle slammed the menu down on the table. She remarked bluntly, “Ha! You’re asking if you can share a table with us… Your skin must be as thick as these brick walls around us, huh?”
Melody’s expression hardened.
Sienna lifted her gaze and stared at Melody’s clear, smooth forehead. “Your wound healed pretty quickly, huh? Not only did your body recover quickly, but your ability to embarrass yourself had also improved.”
Melody bit her lip. “Sienna, the evening gown… Did you do that on purpose?”
“So what if I did?” Sienna crossed her arms and leaned against her seat. At the same time, she noticed Clayton was heading
this way.
Clayton had obviously heard what she said. He had a stony look on his face. “Didn’t you keep insisting that you had nothing to do with it previously?”
“Did I really admit to it, though?” Sienna raised her brows. There was a contemptuous look in her eyes. “‘So what if I did’ is a question and not a statement. You should go back and retake your grammar lessons if your grammar is bad, Mr. Hale.”
“Alright. You two shouldn’t fight because of me. Sienna… she probably didn’t do it on purpose. We should just let it slide.” Melody tried to calm both sides down.
Clayton sat right next to Sienna. “She’s definitely done it on purpose. She’s so stubborn and pig-headed.”
Melody sat down in the remaining seat, filling the table.
“Did I allow you two to sit here? How could you just go ahead and take these seats!” Sienna glared at Clayton and Melody furiously.
Michelle took Sienna’s side, naturally. “That’s right! Can’t you see that this table is ours? If you’re smart enough, you should get up and get lost!”
Clayton slowly lifted his gaze. “Call the manager over if you want. We’ll see whether it’s you two or us who have to leave by then. You’re going to get kicked out of here even if you cry and scream at the top of your lungs.”
“You think I won’t do that?” Sienna raised her hand and was about to call the manager over.
Michelle quickly stopped her and said softly, “It’s true. There’s no use crying and screaming here. This restaurant is under the Hale Group. Didn’t you know?”
The restaurant manager wouldn’t take their side. What was worse, he might even just kick them out of the restaurant.

Sienna stiffened slightly. She didn’t expect she would coincidentally choose a restaurant that was owned by the Hale Group. After all, Sienna didn’t know much about what kind of businesses the Hale Group owned and where they were located.
If she and Michelle were to leave now, Sienna felt like that would be exactly what Clayton and Melody wanted.
Sienna had come here for dinner. Why did she and Michelle have to be the ones to leave?
So, Sienna grabbed the menu and ordered almost everything. She even ordered two bottles of wine which cost half a million dollars each. “I won’t hold back since you offered to buy us dinner, Mr. Hale.”
The bill came to two million dollars for dinner. They could use that amount of money to buy a house already.
Melody gasped when she saw the total. She was a little displeased. “Sienna, don’t you think you’ve ordered too much for today’s dinner? Clay’s money doesn’t fall from the sky. There was no need to spend so much money for a meal, don’t you think?
“Last time, you said it’s everyone’s responsibility to protect and preserve our environment. Yet, how could you be so wasteful after saying that?”
“Well, it can’t be helped. Enna grew up being offered the best things in the world. The food and drinks she had were of the best quality.”
Michelle said in a slightly mocking tone, “Some people must be green with envy.”
Melody fell silent and looked a little spiritless.
