Divorced, Upgraded, and Married Rich Chapter 84

Divorced While Pregnant The Ex-Husband’s Collapse 84

Chapter 84

Pregnancy?

Abigail felt a surge of excitement.

What was the key to gaining a foothold in a wealthy family? A child.

If Natalie had managed to have a child with Jeffrey in the past five years, their marriage would

have been impossible to break. Abigail would have had no chance at all.

But unfortunately, Natalie was foolish. She aborted the child.

It worked out for Abigail, though. There was no need for her to get her hands dirty.

“Do you have any remedies? I’m willing to try them,” Abigail said.

Chandler gently stroked her cheek, his tone roguish. “Even if I had a remedy, it wouldn’t work unless Jeffrey touched you.”

If he didn’t, not even a miracle would help.

“He refuses. He insists on waiting until my relationship with him is public. What can I do?” Abigail replied.

Chandler emphasized, “Men can’t keep their lust in. It’s your fault you’re not seductive enough to him.”

Abigail shook her head. “Jeff doesn’t like that. He prefers someone gentle and understanding, someone who genuinely cares for him.”

Chandler corrected her, “You’re wrong. Men, throughout history, have always preferred women who are virtuous in public but free–spirited in private.”

She considered his words.

He continued, “Think about it and learn it well. Once you get the hang of it, everything you want will fall into place.”

“Learn what?”

“Learn the art of pleasing him in bed. Watch some videos and practice a bit.”

His words were crude, but Abigail found herself listening carefully.

By the time Natalie returned to Foster Garden after the celebration, it was already past midnight. The gallery opening had been a huge success, far exceeding her expectations. This

entrepreneurial journey had finally started to take shape.

From here on, she could gradually open Dream Gallery branches in major cities across the country.

She could also pick up her paintbrush again, creating everything she imagined and bringing her thoughts to life on the canvas.

As Daniel Wagner’s apprentice, Natalie was quickly gaining recognition in the art world.

The moment she entered the living room, the smell of medicinal herbs hit her. Martha was making another batch of herbal tonic.

Martha stopped what she was doing when she saw Natalie. “Mrs. Foster, you’re getting home later and later each day. Is work at the gallery that busy?”

“Yeah, with the opening, there was a lot to do.”

“When will you get some rest? I spoke with the alternative medicine doctor. He said it’s best to drink the tonic in the morning for maximum effect. But you’ve been throwing up after taking it in the morning. You can only take it after having your lunch at the gallery, but I’m worried this could affect its effectiveness.”

Natalie felt a pang of guilt when she saw Martha’s caring expression. She had been pouring the medicine down the toilet at the gallery.

Martha truly wanted what was best for her, just as Caroline wanted her to stay with Jeffrey forever.

“There’s nothing I can do. My stomach’s been off in the mornings lately. I’m going to head upstairs now. You should rest, Martha.”

“Alright, Mrs. Foster. Mr. Foster’s been waiting for you. He hasn’t gone to sleep yet.”

Natalie nodded nonchalantly. But in her heart, she knew she was about to face Jeffrey’s anger. She walked upstairs and headed for their bedroom, but she noticed that the door to the study was open. As she passed, she saw Jeffrey sitting at his desk.

The top buttons of his shirt were undone, which subtly exposed his muscular chest. He wore a pair of golden–framed glasses, and he had several files scattered on his desk.

Hearing her footsteps, he didn’t even glance up. “You’re back.”

Natalie paused. “Mm.”

“Get in here.”

Natalie walked into the study.
