Divorced While Pregnant The Ex-Husband’s Collapse 78
Chapter 78
Jeffrey, however, made no move to drink his tea.
Natalie knew that he was extremely picky with what he consumed. He even disdained drinking tea made from regular tea leaves and only had the higher–quality tea leaves that were harvested during picking season. He’d never had tea of this quality before.
Natalie shrugged. “I only have this type of tea here. You don’t have to drink it if you don’t like it. You’ve given me the flowers, said your congratulations, and drunk the tea, so it’s about time you guys left.”
She bluntly told her guests to leave without an ounce of politeness.
However, Jeffrey didn’t look like he was leaving anytime soon.
“Who introduced Daniel to you? Johnson?” he asked.
After all, it was due to Daniel’s appearance that Dream Gallery’s opening was a big hit. It had successfully attracted widespread attention. In the future, with Daniel taking charge of Dream Gallery, its popularity would only grow even more.
Natalie replied in annoyance, “Regardless of whether it’s him or not, what does it matter to you? What right do you have, as my ex–husband, to ask me so many questions?”
Jeffrey’s expression darkened slightly. “Can’t I even ask?”
“Nope!”
Abigail placed a hand on Jeffrey’s arm, chuckling to ease the tense atmosphere. “Jeff, Johnson was Natalie’s classmate, and they used to work together in the student council. It stands to reason that he would help her, considering their good relations.”
It sounded like she was explaining, but in truth, Abigail was just fanning the flames.
“Besides, Natalie has always been popular with the guys during her university days. Now that she has started a business, her friends from Andby University ought to support her a little… Where else would her start–up capital have come from?”
It was an indisputable fact that Natalie was popular with the guys. She had the looks that men adored very much.
In her first week of university, she was already acknowledged as the prettiest woman in her department. She looked pure and clean, with shallow dimples and bright eyes. Moreover, she was good–natured and treated everyone amiably.
Compared to Abigail, who was a nobody, Natalie received a great deal of attention.

Additionally, Natalie was dating Jeffrey back then. Who wouldn’t be envious? Who didn’t know about this perfect couple?
If it weren’t for that sports equipment room catching fire, Abigail would’ve remained a nobody whom no one cared about.
Jeffrey’s expression darkened even further.
Natalie didn’t refute Abigail’s words. Instead, she went along with it and replied, “Yup, that’s right. I borrowed money from every single male student from Andby University before the gallery’s opening day. Oh, right, one of them also introduced Mr. Wagner to me.‘
“Look, Jeff. I guessed right,” Abigail said.
“You sure did. How smart of you! We won’t find a more intelligent person than you in all of Caspia City.”
Abigail had forcibly turned Natalie’s boyfriend and fiance into her suitor. Jeffrey was even willing to go against his family to call off his engagement to Natalie.
How capable of her.
Abigail looked at Natalie. “I know you hate me, but we were also classmates. You don’t need to sound so aggressive every time we talk.”
Natalie was being aggressive? What would they call everything Abigail had done, then?
“Nat’s aggressive? Do you want to have a taste of my aggressiveness?” Stacy’s voice suddenly traveled from the entrance.
When Natalie saw Stacy, a genuine smile rose on her face. “You’re here.”
“Yup. I was caught up by something this morning, but I hurried over as soon as I was done.”
There was a bouquet in Stacy’s arms. “Here. This is for you, Natalie… No, Ms. Bennett.” “You’re poking fun at me,” Natalie said.
