Ryan answered, “Mr. Foster, Mrs. Foster has actually never changed. There’s nothing different about her.”
Jeffrey pressed his lips together lightly. “Oh? Is that so? Tell me more.”
He wondered why Natalie came off like a completely different person to him.
“Mrs. Foster is a modern woman who handles the social scene well and can run a household,”
Ryan explained.
“Have you forgotten? She graduated with honors from Andby University, and she was your schoolmate too. She even changed courses, switching from art to academics, just to get in. Her credentials speak for themselves.
“However, after graduation, Mrs. Foster chose to be a full–time housewife. She dedicated herself to running the household for you. Whenever she accompanied you to important formal events, she always stole the show. All the wealthy women in Caspia City’s elite circles have praised Mrs. Foster.”
Natalie’s intelligence and emotional acumen were evident.
To the public, she was the perfect wife for Jeffrey. At home, she was a woman who had loved him for years.
Jeffrey didn’t even blink. His eyes were still fixed on the computer. Was he really the one who hadn’t noticed Natalie’s brilliance before?
When she was next to him, he had found her unremarkable. She was more like a burden. Now that Natalie had left him, he finally saw how radiant she was.
“Postpone my afternoon schedule. I have something else to take care of.”
“Will do, Mr. Foster.” Ryan dared not ask any further and did as he was told. But Ryan knew what Jeffrey was up to. His boss planned to pay a visit to Natalie’s gallery later.
Many people only realized how valuable someone was after losing them. Natalie was a brilliant woman, yet Jeffrey had only started to realize how important she was.
Meanwhile, Natalie was really busy. She didn’t even have time to check her phone.
In the morning, she was involved in the opening ceremony, gave interviews, and explained the gallery setup to Daniel. At noon, she stood at the gallery entrance and personally welcomed the visitors.

In the afternoon, Natalie finally had a moment to herself. While she was catching her breath in the lounge, Jeffrey showed up.
Natalie blinked at him in disbelief. “Is that really you?”
“Why not?”
Before Natalie could even respond, she noticed Abigail standing behind Jeffrey. Her chest tightened, and she could barely breathe.
The two people she despised the most had shown up together on the most memorable day of her life. How annoying!
“What are you doing here?” Natalie asked rudely. “Neither of you is welcome here.‘
Jeffrey sat on the couch across from her. “It’s the opening day of your gallery. As your husband, I can’t miss it.”
Natalie corrected him, “You’re my ex–husband.”
“Even an ex–husband can show his support.”
“Fine.” Natalie nodded, pointing at Abigail. “So, she’s here to support her lover’s ex–wife?”
“I had lunch with Ab at noon. We decided to drop by together,” Jeffrey answered. “Ab even got you some flowers.”
How annoying! Natalie didn’t care about receiving flowers from Abigail.
Abigail sat next to Jeffrey, saying softly, “Congratulations, Natalie. You’re really brilliant and talented for being able to run such a large gallery on your own. I have so much to learn from you.”
Natalie snorted. Clearly, Abigail and Jeffrey had shown up to annoy her.
Whatever. There was no need to be upset over that. Natalie could keep her emotions in check.
Natalie’s voice suddenly softened. “Thanks for your compliment. Since you’re both here, that makes you my guests. Have some tea.”
She leaned forward and poured tea. Then, she set the cups in front of them.
Abigail lifted her cup. She stared at the tea but did not drink it.
“What is it? You think I’ve poisoned it?” Natalie asked. “Then don’t bother drinking it. I’ll get you some bottled water.”
Abigail hurriedly shook her head. “No. Of course not. You got it all wrong. I’ll drink it. I’ll drink it now.”
