Divorced While Pregnant The Ex-Husband’s Collapse 73
Chapter 73
Jeffrey remarked, “What a silver tongue you have.”
“Just found out?” Natalie shot back.
“Yes.” Jeffrey’s gaze darkened. “You’ve been hiding this side of yours too well.”
“No,” Natalie denied it. “I used to tolerate you, but now…”
“Now what?”
Natalie emphasized each word, “I want to curse the hell out of you.”
Jeffrey was a scumbag. A damn scoundrel!
She reached up and shoved at his chest, but he did not budge. All she felt was his firm, toned muscles. That didn’t matter. She immediately raised her knee to strike him where it hurt. That
was a man’s most sensitive spot. She knew he wouldn’t dodge.
However, Jeffrey seemed to have anticipated her move. He lifted his own knee before she could and pressed it against her leg.
In an instant, Natalie could no longer move. She struggled, hissing through gritted teeth. “Let me go!”
“You want to curse the hell out of me, don’t you?” Jeffrey lowered his gaze lazily. “Go on. Start telling me off.”
“I’ve never seen anyone begging to be told off.”
“Now you have.”
Natalie scoffed. “I’m not in the mood for that. I’m hungry. I want to eat.”
She turned to look at the dining room just as Jeffrey leaned in. Their lips grazed each other- soft, warm, and damp.
Natalie felt as if she had been electrocuted and inhaled sharply. Her mind went blank as she stared at the lips right before her. Jeffrey’s lips were perfectly shaped. More accurately, his features were truly one of a kind–true perfection.
Natalie and Jeffrey had kissed many times, with their tongues entwined. They had done it on campus, outside the dorm, along the forest path, and at the entrance to the Bennett residence.
Back then, they had been in love. Abigail had been invisible, and no one even noticed her.
Having once felt the intensity of his love for her, Natalie had been extremely infatuated with Jeffrey. Even when he wanted to end their engagement, she still wanted to marry him.

Chapter 73
Natalie was willing to become a full–time housewife and cook for him all day. She wanted to
break down his walls and win him back.
Five whole years had gone by, and nothing had worked.
Natalie was tired. After marrying her, Jeffrey treated her coldly and never touched her again.
Forget about kissing; they didn’t even hold hands.
“Are you going to start seducing me?” Jeffrey’s gaze darkened. “Hmm?”
Natalie immediately denied it, “I was just…”
His voice drowned out hers. “What if I told you that you’ve succeeded?”
While Natalie was taken aback by his words, he brushed his fingertip across her lower lip, over and over again. He still remembered their first kiss. It had happened on the day he walked her home.
They had been outside the Bennett residence. Natalie was about to leave when he called out to her. She stared at him, her eyes bright and innocent. Without a word, he simply cupped her face and kissed her without hesitation. The kiss had been inexperienced and awkward.
At that moment, Jeffrey felt the same impulse he had felt during their first kiss. In his mind, a voice seemed to scream at him, “Kiss her! Do it now like you did last time!”
“Mr. and Mrs. Foster, breakfast is…” Jacob’s sudden announcement destroyed the intimate moment. He quickly fell silent and disappeared.
Still, it was too late. Jeffrey straightened as if nothing had happened. He turned, headed to the dining table, and took a seat.
Natalie was still frozen in place. Earlier, when Jeffrey gradually leaned in, she almost closed her eyes.
