Divorced, Upgraded, and Married Rich Chapter 46

Divorced While Pregnant The Ex-Husband’s Collapse 46

Chapter 46

Stephen stared at Natalie in disbelief. He hurried to pull her back, but as he stood up and walked forward, the handcuffs stopped him short.

Stephen snapped, “Natalie, get back here. Do you even know what you’re doing? You’re actually apologizing to him?” Natalie shot back, “And do you know what you’re doing, Stephen? Can you stop making things worse?”

Stephen said, “How am I making things worse? Was it wrong for me to stand up for you?”

Natalie asked quietly, “So, I’m supposed to just watch you get sued, sentenced, and thrown into jail?”

“Felix doesn’t have that kind of pull!” Stephen shouted.

Felix might not, but Abigail might. And Jeffrey definitely did.

All it would take was a little pillow talk from Abigail, and Jeffrey would destroy both her and Stephen without blinking. He was willing to do anything for the woman he loved.

If this could be resolved now, it had to be. If Felix took this to Abigail, there would be no way out.

Natalie said, “Steph, calm down. Leave this to me and stop interfering.”

As she spoke, she tugged lightly at Felix. “Let’s talk outside.”

“No,” Felix said immediately. The moment he sensed her relenting, he immediately got arrogant. “We’ll talk right here, right in front of Stephen.”

Hearing that, Natalie could only speak there. “I’ll pay the medical bills and cover all your losses. I’ll apologize, too. Whatever demands you have, just name them.”

If Felix wasn’t satisfied, this would never end.

Felix glanced at her and let out a mocking chuckle. “You’re a lot more sensible than your brother.”

Natalie said evenly, “Yes. There’s no need for this to turn ugly. We’re all living in Caspia City, so falling out completely won’t do anyone any good. It’s better to remain friends than make enemies.”

Felix folded his arms arrogantly, clearly uninterested in discussing things properly.

Natalie lowered herself again. “I’m sorry, I really am. I apologize.”

Felix scoffed. “Please. I don’t accept empty verbal apologies. If you really want me to drop it and settle this privately…”

He deliberately dragged out the last part.

Natalie replied, “Go on. I’m listening.”

Felix demanded, “Then, you need to go to the Wright family personally and apologize at our door, in front of the entire family. On top of that, make a public apology. Record a video and post it online on all your social media. It will stay up for a full month-no deleting it.”

Natalie felt like her teeth were about to shatter from clenching them. But Felix had the upper hand, so Natalie had no choice but to accept it. She had to endure the storm for now.

Natalie forced out, “Fine.”

Stephen spat immediately. “Like hell it is! Natalie, don’t listen to his bullshit!”

His spit flew straight toward Felix, who cursed and wiped his face.

Natalie was startled and quickly pulled out a tissue to wipe it for him, but Felix swatted her hand away.

Felix said coldly, “Fine. So, you refuse to take the hint. Then, let me make this clear-I refuse any mediation. There won’t be any private settlement!”

He jumped to his feet, grabbed his phone, and started tapping furiously at the screen.

Natalie was sharp-eyed and clearly saw him scroll to Abigail’s name and dial it. She could only watch, utterly powerless to

stop it.

Natalie lowered her gaze and sat down beside Stephen, saying nothing.

Abigail arrived very quickly. It was obvious she was eager to involve herself in this. She had no makeup on, and her hair was uncombed. It looked as if she’d just crawled out of bed.

Natalie glanced at the time and saw that it was already 2:30 am.
