Chapter 44
The International Perfumer Summit took place the next day.
Regina smiled gently, the crystal trophy for “Best New Perfumer of the Year” in her hand, her makeup carefully applied.
She was giving a speech about how grateful she was to have won. Her voice held just the right amount of emotion.
“I have to thank my inspiration, which comes from the passion I feel every day. I’d like to thank Lambert Group, too, especially Zach. His unconditional support is the reason I’m here today…”
She looked around and glanced at the media section of the audience as if she were looking for
someone.
The moment she saw a familiar figure, her gentle smile became a barely discernible smirk.
Genevieve was sitting right there, her expression neutral.
She was dressed in a clean–cut white suit. Her long hair was neatly tied behind her neck, showcasing her regal features and calm expression. She looked completely out of place in the bustling environment around her.
Regina felt pride swell in her chest. She was about to give her final thanks when suddenly, all the lights in the room went off with a soft click.
The crowd erupted in protest.
The only light in the room came from the huge LED screen behind the podium, which slowly
lit up.
A clear voice rang out through the surround sound system, filling every single corner of the
room.
“The money’s been transferred. Just tell everyone that Genevieve leaked the formula. Her reputation is horrible right now. No one will believe her.”
A hesitant voice followed shortly after. “Ms. Sloane, this is faking evidence…”
“What are you scared of? After this is settled, I can promise that you won’t have to worry about money for the rest of your life. Remember–blame Genevieve for everything you possibly can!”

The crowd fell silent.
The first voice clearly belonged to Regina, who was still standing on the stage.
She denied, “No! That’s not me!”
A beam of light suddenly shone on Regina, lighting up her pale face.
“It’s fake! It was doctored! Genevieve! You’re trying to frame me!” she screamed, pointing at
Genevieve, who was sitting in the audience.
All of the cameras in the crowd immediately pointed toward Genevieve, who had been perfectly expressionless since the very beginning.
Genevieve slowly stood, and her gaze landed on the screen. “The evidence will speak for itself.

After she finished speaking, the waveform graph on the screen changed.”
A clear screenshot of a bank transfer statement filled the screen. It showed that Jennifer Stone
had received money from Regina Sloane.
The amount and date of the transfer matched the recording that had played onscreen just
moments ago.
If the recording hadn’t been enough evidence, then the bank transfer statement was solid
proof.
Genevieve said, “I’d like to introduce you all to Jennifer Stone. She used to work at my studio.
She was fired because of dishonest behavior.”

Regina’s face became as white as a sheet of paper.
She was done for. She was completely done for.
“Ms. Sloane, calm down.” Genevieve’s voice rang out again.
The image on the screen changed again. This time, it was a raw material traceability report.
“The raw materials that had been stolen from Blossom Studio had been specifically marked with unique molecular markers.”
A laser pointer appeared in Genevieve’s hand. The red pinprick of light moved across the screen, drawing a clear line through the report.
“This batch of raw materials was stolen from the warehouse and routed through three different dummy shipping companies. Their final location…”
Chapter 44.
The pinprick of red light landed directly on a spot on the map.
“…is right here, which is Ms. Sloane’s private perfumery studio in the suburbs.”
The evidence was as clear as day. There was nothing Regina could say to deny it. The truth was finally out.
