Jonathan lightly tapped on the screen without saying another word. A second later, a series of controlled but brazen moans started echoing inside the office.
An unspeakably explicit video was playing on the screen.
It showed a messy hotel bed, upon which two people were all over each other.
The man pictured was none other than Zachary, who was currently throwing a fit. The woman in question was none other than Regina.
“How could it be?” Zachary thought to himself, his pupils contracting in shock.
Jonathan stopped the video and tucked the digital tablet away.
“Mr. Lambert, whose reputation did you say you wanted to destroy?”
He paused before continuing, “If you dare say even a single insult to Genevieve in court, I’ll present this video to the judge along with a bunch of other, even more interesting videos of you and Ms. Sloane. I’m sure the media will have a field day with this exclusive headline.
“I wonder what will happen to Lambert Group’s stock prices then? What sort of jokes will the town make about a young, talented CEO like you?”
Zachary swayed on his feet. He clutched onto the edge of the table so tightly that his knuckles had turned white.
He thought he could blackmail Genevieve with the pictures Regina had taken of her. He never thought that Genevieve would already have even more dirt on him.
It seemed that Genevieve already knew about everything that was going on. That was why she
wanted a divorce.
After a long bout of silence, Zachary collapsed back into his seat.
For the sake of the Lambert family…
“I’ll sign it.”
He picked up the pen, but hesitated for a long time.
“I have one condition. She has to let go of all Lambert Group shares, including those my grandpa promised her. Also, after our divorce, she’s not to crack down on any Lambert Group projects as Cen!”

That was his final straw.
He couldn’t let Genevieve ruin everything that the Lambert family had worked so hard for.
Jonathan called Genevieve right in front of him and put the call on loudspeaker.
“Gen, he said yes, but he has two conditions.”
He repeated Zachary’s conditions to her.
Genevieve’s calm, cool voice rang out from the speaker. “Okay.”
Zachary thought she would back down, but he realized that she couldn’t care less. She never loved him in the first place.
Jonathan hung up and looked at him. “Mr. Lambert, you can sign the agreement now.
With a trembling hand, Zachary finally signed his name at the bottom of the divorce
agreement.
Jonathan tucked the agreement away and left without any hesitation. Before he walked out, he suddenly stopped but didn’t turn to look at him.
“By the way, Genevieve wants me to tell you that this is just the beginning.”
Zachary immediately realized that Genevieve had swindled him. He shot up to his feet, but Jonathan had already left the office.
When Jonathan got into his car, he called Genevieve and said, “It’s done.”
“Okay,” Genevive said mildly. “Thank you.”
“There’s no need to be so formal with me,” Jonathan said, softening his tone. “Just… Are you really willing to let this go so easily? Lambert Group’s stocks are worth a pretty penny.”
Genevieve looked at the delicate petals of the rose blooming before her. “I don’t want them.”
She didn’t want them, but that didn’t mean nobody else did.
It wasn’t as if the Lamberts only had one heir, after all.
