You Chose Her, so I Married Better Chapter 14

Chapter 14

Under everyone’s gaze, Regina forced herself onto the stage.

The ten-minute improvisation period passed in the blink of an eye. All ten perfumers, including Regina, finished preparing their perfume blends.

Staff members carried over the ten finished vials and arranged them carefully on a long display table draped in black velvet, inviting guests to sample the scents and cast their votes.

Genevieve stayed where she was, standing off to the side with a champagne flute in hand, composed and unhurried.

As Blossom Studio’s chief assistant, Hannah had already drawn a dense crowd around her station.

“Oh my god, that opening is insane! Is that bergamot and pink pepper? It’s so sharp, but it still blends perfectly together!

“And the heart notes are amazing! I smell tuberose, but there’s this cool cedar twist too. It’s like a red rose blooming in the snow!

“This is… refined. It’s art!”

The praises kept piling on.

Zachary’s expression went dark. He refused to believe that a mere assistant could be this skilled.

He pushed through the crowd, grabbed the vial labeled “Hannah Brooks”, and misted a test strip.

The moment the scent bloomed, his expression froze.

He recognized this fragrance. It was the exact fragrance that Regina had claimed she’d crafted exclusively for him.

Zachary looked up, fury breaking through. “Hannah, you stole it!”

His shout cut through the room. The noise fell away at once, and every gaze swung toward him.

Hannah was taken aback. Instinctively, she looked at Genevieve, confusion written in her eyes.

Genevieve had just given her the formula herself. How could this possibly be theft?

Genevieve set her glass down and walked over, unhurried and composed. She stopped beside Hannah and faced Zachary. “Mr. Lambert, if you’re going to accuse someone, bring proof.”

“Proof?” Zachary let out a cold laugh, then yanked Regina forward. “She’s the proof!”

He jabbed a finger toward Hannah. “This fragrance is Regina’s work. She poured her heart into it. She made it just for me. And you? You’re just an insignificant assistant! How dare you steal it and pass it off as your own! That’s shameless!”

Regina’s mind went completely blank.

How could something like this happen? The fragrance was exactly the same.

She had paid a fortune for that fragrance on the black market. They had told her it had been leaked from Cen’s unpublished

archive.

No one in the world should be able to recreate it unless they had stolen Cen’s formula. But Regina didn’t dare say that out loud.

Zachary kept ranting, loud and indignant. “I knew you couldn’t suddenly be this kind. You’re just jealous! Genevieve, you’re jealous of Regina’s talent, so you sent your lackey to pull something this underhanded!”

More and more people crowded in to watch.

“Blossom Studio is basically at the top of the industry. I can’t see them doing something as crude as plagiarism. Is this a

misunderstanding?”

“Isn’t Regina his childhood sweetheart? I heard that Raymond sent her overseas right before the wedding. Why did she suddenly come back?”

A sharp-eyed socialite covered her mouth and murmured to her friend, “Isn’t that Zachary’s wife over there? That’s Genevieve. And he’s defending another woman right in front of her.”

Someone scoffed. “You don’t know the half of it. I heard that Genevieve used tricks back then to force Zachary into marrying her. She tore apart a couple who actually loved each other!”

Genevieve watched the scene coldly, her expression unreadable.

“Genevieve!” Zachary snapped. “Apologize to Regina now!” Apologize?
