Married at First Sight Chapter 1667

Married at First Sight Chapter 1667 by –
According to Josh, they had known Duncan for many years and were very familiar with him.
Duncan appeared rough and indifferent, as though he didn’t care about anything.
However, he was quite persistent when it came to his feelings.
Liberty never remarried in her life, and Duncan would truly never marry for her.
If Liberty chose to marry someone else, Duncan would still refrain from marrying for the rest of his life.
Duncan was that kind of person; if he couldn’t marry the woman he loved, he preferred to remain single forever.
“If you can’t get away, I’ll go. I’ll keep him company,” Zachary said, thinking that Josh was still on marriage leave and that Jasmine was pregnant again, which must have left Josh uninterested in other matters.
Josh responded, “Jasmine is at the bookstore. I arranged for bodyguards to protect her. I’m fine. Let’s go together.”
Zachary hummed in agreement.
After ending the call, Zachary glanced at Serenity, who was sitting on the sofa reading a magazine.
Serenity hadn’t been paying attention to their conversation but only caught a few words, guessing that it was Josh who called.
Zachary quietly observed Serenity and thought that when she was engrossed in her reading, she radiated a serene beauty.
Although Serenity was naturally beautiful, Zachary’s love had made her even more attractive and refined.
Well, that was Zachary’s doing.
Rising from his seat, Zachary walked around the desk toward Serenity.
Hearing his footsteps, Serenity looked up at him, smiled, and asked, “Are you done?”
She had come to wait for Zachary so they could head home together for the evening’s activities. When she arrived, Zachary was still busy. She…

waited in his office.
“Not yet.” Zachary stepped in front of her, remaining standing while looking down at her.
“What’s the matter?”
Serenity immediately sensed that Zachary had something on his mind.
She closed the magazine.
“Duncan scheduled a drink with me, Josh, and I’ll ask you for guidance.”
Serenity smiled, stood up, and helped Zachary adjust his shirt and tie. “You can go if you want. You don’t need to ask for permission. You’re fine as long as you don’t get drunk.”
Zachary always brought a group of bodyguards with him when he went out, and even if he drank, they would ensure he got home safely, so he didn’t have to worry about being approached by other women.
“Why did Duncan invite both of you for drinks? Did he argue with Mrs. Lewis again?”
If Duncan and Mrs. Lewis were fighting, it was likely due to her sister, Liberty.
Zachary’s silence confirmed her suspicion.
After Serenity pursed her lips, she asked Zachary, “Can you persuade Duncan to give up? He is a good guy, but Mrs. Lewis reacts strongly. She still can’t accept my sister, and my sister isn’t interested in Duncan. This situation will only escalate, yet Duncan won’t relent. He’s close with you, and my sister won’t want to push too hard.”
Zachary replied, “Josh and I were just discussing this, and I feel there’s little hope.”
At that moment, Serenity received a message from her sister, Liberty.
Liberty informed Serenity that she had found a new rental house and planned to move immediately. She mentioned that the new place was in a high-end community with excellent security.
Although the rent was quite high, Liberty was willing to pay it to prevent Duncan from visiting her every day.

Pay more for the rent.

In addition to relocating to a rented house, Liberty informed Serenity that after a lengthy period of observation, the two shop assistants had proven themselves capable and could take over her responsibilities. As a result, she decided to offer the shop assistants a slight salary increase and allow them to manage All You Can Eat.

Liberty decreased her visits to All You Can Eat and, when she did go, she opted to visit after 8 o’clock.
