Married at First Sight Chapter 1629

Chapter 1629
After leaving the hospital, Hank accompanied Jessica to another mall to help her get what she wanted.
Once they got home, he couldn’t stop thinking about Duncan and Sonny’s close interaction, which frustrated him. He worried that Duncan might take his son away and that Sonny would start calling him “Dad.”
As soon as Jessica went to bed, he quietly left the house to buy snacks and toys, then hurried to his ex-wife’s place.
He never considered rekindling his relationship with Liberty.
There was no turning back; getting back together with Liberty was no longer an option.
However, Sonny was his son. How could his child grow close to the man pursuing his ex-wife? Duncan had significantly challenged Hank’s role as Sonny’s father.
“Is your wife’s baby doing okay?” Liberty asked indifferently.
Feeling slightly ashamed, Hank replied, “The baby is fine.”
“Sonny has been eating and playing a lot. You don’t need to buy him so many things.”
“I know he doesn’t need them, but I want to give him gifts. Liberty, was Sonny upset after I left?”
Hank felt guilty about not spending enough time with his son.
In the past, he had rarely been around, as he was caught up in his new relationship with Jessica.
After the divorce, he could count on one hand the times he had spent with Sonny.
“Sonny was a little upset, but he got over it quickly.”
Hank felt relieved when he heard his son had been upset about his departure; at least Sonny cared about him.
Liberty poured a glass of warm water for Hank.
Hank paused for a moment, then looked at Liberty and asked, “Liberty, you and Mr. Lewis…”
“What’s wrong?”

Liberty addressed him directly. “Nothing. I just feel that you two aren’t a suitable match. I don’t have the right to prevent you from remarrying, but as Sonny’s mother, you’ll be bringing him along when you do. If you choose a bad partner, I worry my son could get hurt. So, I’m just asking.”

Hank quickly devised an excuse to hide his jealousy. “Liberty, you need to think before you act. Consider this carefully: Mr. Lewis isn’t right for you.”

Liberty remained calm and replied casually, “Mr. Brown, I don’t want to trouble you with my personal affairs. You should focus on your own life.”

Currently, Hank worked as an Uber driver. While it wasn’t a high-paying job, at least he had a steady income.

His family life was tumultuous. Liberty knew her ex-mother-in-law and ex-sister-in-law well. Even with Jessica pregnant, the two would still create difficulties for her.

It was uncertain whether Jessica would be able to deliver her baby successfully. If it turned out to be a boy, everything would be fine. If it were a girl, they would undoubtedly torment Jessica.

Regardless, Jessica would not enjoy a peaceful life. This was her punishment for disrupting Liberty’s marriage and taking her husband.

Hank felt embarrassed. “Mr. Brown, if there’s nothing else, please take your leave. It’s getting late, and I need to rest for work tomorrow.”

“Liberty, I…”

“Mr. Brown, I believe you came here without your wife’s consent. If she discovers you visited Sonny without her knowledge, she might have a serious confrontation with you.”

Liberty was fully aware that Jessica resented Hank’s excessive concern for Sonny.
