Married at First Sight Chapter 1603

Chapter 1603
Meanwhile, at York Corporation, Zachary had finished his work for the day.
Knowing that Serenity would come to pick him up, he went downstairs early to wait at the building’s entrance.
As he descended, it was the time when many employees were leaving work. They greeted him with respect as they passed by.
Noticing him at the entrance, several senior managers paused, concerned that something might be wrong. They asked, “Mr. York, is everything okay?”
“Everything is fine. I’m just waiting for Seren. You can head home or to your appointments. Go ahead,” he replied.
The employees were momentarily speechless.
No wonder Mr. York had come downstairs so early; Mrs. York was on her way.
Serenity had stopped by Spring Blossoms to pick up flowers and got caught in traffic during rush hour on her way there.
By the time she arrived at York Corporation, most employees had already left for the day.
As she drove her car into the building’s entrance, she spotted her tall, handsome husband standing at the entrance.
There was still a bit of distance between them.
Zachary stood alone at the entrance without any bodyguards, but Serenity recognized him immediately.
He was impossible to miss, no matter where he was.
Tall, attractive, and commanding presence.
Typically, Serenity would park in the lot when visiting York Corporation.
However, since it was after hours, she stopped her car right in front of the entrance.
A smile lit up Zachary’s handsome face as soon as he saw his beloved wife’s car. He approached her before she even had a chance to get out.
Serenity stayed in the car as he came closer.
She unlocked the doors, allowing Zachary to hop in.
Inside, Zachary noticed a bouquet of fresh roses lying on

He picked up the bouquet from the passenger seat and sat down. With a smile, he asked, “Is this bouquet for me?”

“If I said it was for another man, would you gather a team to take it back?”

Zachary replied assertively, “Absolutely. The roses my wife bought are meant only for me. Don’t even think about giving them to someone else.”

Serenity grinned and said, “I don’t have other men.”

Zachary reached out and playfully pinched her cheek. “Having me is enough. Why did you arrive so late? If you had come earlier, I could have left work with the flowers in my hands, and the whole company would have seen it.”

“We’ve been husband and wife for so long. Why should we flaunt it?”

Serenity began to drive as she spoke.

The bodyguards observed their boss entering Mrs. York’s car and proceeded to follow them in their vehicle.

“I want to show off. It’s something worth celebrating,” Zachary insisted.

Serenity replied, “Traffic was heavy, which is why I was late.”

“You can come earlier next time.”

“If I do, it might interfere with your work.”

Zachary pressed his lips together, wanting to argue that her presence wouldn’t disrupt his work; in fact, it would inspire him even more.

“Have you seen Callum?” Zachary suddenly asked. “That boy sneaked out early. Don’t think I’m not aware of it.”

“You used to sneak out often too. He’s your brother. So what if he sneaks out? You should be more understanding.”

After a brief silence, he continued, “They’re all so clever in winning you over. You always back them up, especially Rowan. When he first met you, he kept calling you his sister-in-law. He has such a sweet tongue.”
