Married at First Sight Chapter 1591

Chapter 1591
Liberty was occupied until after nine o’clock in the morning. As the number of breakfast patrons dwindled, she found a moment to relax.
Lily decided to visit the diner when Liberty was free.
Upon seeing Lily enter, Liberty paused for a moment before offering a polite smile. “Ms. Harmon.”
“Ms. Hunt, you’re not busy anymore, right?”
“I’m not busy at the moment, but I’m getting ready to pack up and close the diner. How can I assist you, Ms. Harmon?” Liberty and Lily had not interacted much prior to this meeting.
Liberty assumed Lily’s visit was related to Duncan.
“Not much, really. I went to Lewis & Co. to sign a contract with Duncan and happened to pass by, so I thought I would stop in. How is your business doing?”
Liberty smiled. “It’s going alright. I can still make some profit after covering the rent and payroll.”
“You make an excellent breakfast. Duncan mentioned he enjoys coming here for it. Take your time; you’ll improve and earn more in the future.”
Making breakfast was hard work, requiring early mornings.
Liberty invited Lily to take a seat.
She poured Lily a glass of warm water.
Liberty was dressed in simple clothes and an apron, resembling a housewife. In contrast, Lily wore a smart women’s suit that conveyed professionalism and capability. Liberty could easily tell that Lily was a successful career woman, which only heightened her own feelings of inadequacy.
Liberty felt a twinge of inferiority in Lily’s presence.
“Thank you.”
As Liberty set the cup of warm water in front of Lily, Lily expressed her gratitude with a smile.
After Liberty sat down, Lily looked at her.
Liberty hadn’t applied any makeup, but her skin looked radiant.
After all, Liberty’s younger sister had married into a wealthy family, and Liberty also had an aunt who was the matron of a prosperous household.

family, Liberty has no shortage of quality skin care products. Additionally, Liberty is relatively young, being just one or two years older than Lily. Lily felt that Liberty had an honest demeanor that made people feel comfortable, and her smile was calming as well. Duncan expressed his desire for a wife and a cozy home, rather than a business partner, which might explain his fondness for Liberty.

“I’m leaving Wiltspoon soon,” Lily announced first.

Liberty inquired, “Ms. Harmon, you’re going back?”

“Yeah. In fact, I’ve already left Wiltspoon. I returned yesterday to re-sign a contract with Duncan. After signing, I’ll head back since I have too many responsibilities to manage,” Lily explained.

“Oh,” Liberty replied.

Lily, the vice president of Harmon Corporation, had earned her position through her own efforts and determination. She was a strong, independent woman in her career. During her time in Wiltspoon, aside from accompanying Mrs. Lewis and seemingly pursuing Duncan, Lily remained focused on her job. She successfully negotiated numerous business deals, with her company signing contracts with many major businesses and collaborating with powerful companies in Wiltspoon.

“Duncan is sincere about you,” Lily remarked suddenly.

Liberty looked at her and remained silent, knowing Duncan was genuine; a man of his character wouldn’t play games with women. Furthermore, Liberty was Zachary’s sister-in-law, and since Duncan and Zachary were best friends, Duncan would think twice before misleading Liberty.

“Mrs. Lewis may not accept you, but it’s not because you aren’t good enough. She just… But Duncan is very determined. Liberty, you’re a wonderful woman. Although you’ve faced a…”

A failed marriage doesn’t mean that all men are scoundrels. You should think about Duncan. “I take pride in myself, and I believe he is a good man. Unfortunately, he only has eyes for you.”
