Chapter 1590
Duncan smiled and said, “Oh.”
Serenity looked at her sister’s back, lowered her voice, and asked Duncan, “The florists aren’t even open at this hour. Did you bring this bouquet from home?”
Duncan replied, “Yes, I cut all the flowers I could find in the yard and made this bouquet myself.” “That makes sense,”
Serenity said as she glanced at the arrangement.
The bouquet contained a variety of flowers, not just roses.
Duncan was a rough man who had never taken the time to appreciate the flowers and trees in his villa. The butler had arranged for someone to buy flowers to add some color to the landscape.
Therefore, not all of the flowers were roses.
Duncan had picked every blooming flower from the villa to create this bouquet.
The butler felt distressed upon discovering that Duncan had cut all the blooming flowers. However, he supported Duncan’s efforts to impress his crush. Consequently, the butler decided to visit the flower field at Wildridge Manor to purchase a full load of roses for the open space in the villa, making it easier for Duncan to gather flowers for his crush.
After a brief silence, Duncan quietly asked Serenity, “Is my bouquet too complicated? Is that why your sister doesn’t like it?”
“No. My sister just doesn’t like receiving flowers from you, Mr. Lewis.”
Duncan inquired, “When she was with Hank, did he give her flowers?”
“Yes. When Hank was pursuing my sister, he gave her many gifts, mostly handwritten love letters, as they were still in school at that time.
“He also invited her to watch movies and enjoy snacks together.”
The two sisters had relied on each other since childhood, so Serenity had witnessed Hank’s pursuit of her sister firsthand.
