Married at First Sight Chapter 1551

Chapter 1551
“Liberty and Sonny are here too, but I really came to see you, Grandma May.”
Duncan stepped into the gazebo, took a seat, and watched the elderly lady continue her Pilates routine.
He remarked, “When my granny was still alive, I asked her to practice Pilates with you, but she never listened to me.”
Though Grandma May and his granny were of the same age, their health conditions were vastly different.
Grandma May remained physically strong and was able to travel around the world by plane without assistance.
She encouraged her grandsons with an energetic demeanor.
In contrast, his granny had been laid to rest for many years.
“Your granny was a true noble lady. She’s unlike someone as impoverished as I am.”
“Who said you’re impoverished? You’re a noble lady in your own right,” he replied.
Grandma May chuckled. “When my grandfather was alive, my family was considered influential. But after I was born, we fell into poverty, and now even our mansion has been given to the state.”
“Conversely, your granny maintained her nobility throughout her life. She can’t be compared to an old woman like me.”
After finishing her Pilates, Grandma May wrapped up her session.
Duncan quickly got up to assist her, but she declined his help.
With curiosity, she proposed, “Duncan, why don’t we have a competition? I haven’t exercised my muscles in a long time.”
Duncan looked at her with a pleading expression. “Please, Grandma May. I wouldn’t dare!”
“I won’t hold it against you if I lose.”
“But you’re older. If you injure yourself, I’d become the villain in the York family. It would be tragic if I couldn’t visit the York manor again. You should ask Zachary instead.”
Suddenly, Zachary’s voice…

“Don’t drag me into this, Duncan,” she said, her voice echoing.

He carried Sonny into the gazebo.

“Nana,” Sonny called.

Grandma May hummed in response.

Sonny greeted her politely, and she smiled as she took him into her arms.

“I missed you so much, Sonny,” she said warmly.

Serenity and Liberty followed closely behind.

“Nana,” they chimed.

“Grandma May,” they added.

Grandma May beamed with joy. “You’re all here! Hurry back inside; it’s hot out here. It’s only nine, but it feels so warm.”

The elderly woman beckoned everyone back into the house.

She casually asked Zachary, “Are the two ladies from the Newman family still waiting outside?”

“The Newman ladies?”

Zachary recalled noticing the two cars parked at the entrance and asked his nana, “They’re from the Newman family?”

“Yes, they are Camryn’s elder and second aunts. Her eldest aunt married into the Chandler family, while her second aunt married a Joyner. They’re here looking for your Aunt Rosella. Since they’re here for her, she must agree to meet them before we can invite them inside.”

Though Grandma May appeared indifferent, she still maintained control over the manor.

Unless it was something she preferred to remain unaware of, she would learn about everything happening in the villa.

Zachary remarked quietly, “They were still waiting outside when I arrived. They must have a motive for coming over so early in the morning.”

“What’s going on with the Newman family now?” he wondered aloud.
