Married at First Sight Chapter 1539

Chapter 1539
“Starting tomorrow, I will send you flowers every day and officially begin courting my fiancée. I will make it known to everyone in Wiltspoon that you, Camryn, are under my protection.”
Camryn was at a loss for words.
“Let me clarify. If you try to avoid me again, I will either move into your flower shop or your house and refuse to leave. Don’t even think about getting rid of me unless you’re willing to lose your shop or home.”
Camryn found herself speechless.
Seeing that Camryn was so angry she couldn’t respond, Callum felt pleased.
She had made his life miserable for over half a month.
He was eager to get his revenge.
“It’s late. Go back to your room and get some rest. I’ll join you for breakfast tomorrow morning. Wait for me to take you to the flower shop. If you don’t…”
Callum’s slender finger tapped gently on her rosy lips again. He longed to taste them.
“You will face the consequences.”
Camryn clenched her teeth. “You’re being a scoundrel, Callum.”
“Yes, I am a scoundrel. You completely ignored me when I was being a gentleman and treated me as if I were toxic. So, I decided to embrace my scoundrel side. Only a scoundrel can handle you.”
Camryn was left speechless.
“Get some rest. I’ll head home now. Good night.”
Callum, feeling confident that he had Camryn under his influence, left the Newmans’ villa in high spirits, humming to himself.
Meanwhile, at the Buchams’ residence, Josh, the groom, was utterly intoxicated. Although many groomsmen drank on his behalf, numerous guests also raised toasts to him, which inevitably led to his drunken state.
He could barely walk straight, and it was Julian who assisted him back to his suite.
Jasmine followed closely behind.
She had also consumed quite a bit, her flushed face enhancing her beauty.
After helping Josh settle down, Julian turned to Jasmine,

“I’ll leave Josh in your care, Jasmine,” Julian said.

“Thank you for bringing him back, Julian,” Jasmine replied quickly, grateful for his help.

Although many friends and relatives were eager to prank the newlyweds, they abandoned the idea when they noticed that the groom could barely stand.

“Josh is drunk. You all should quiet down and let the newlyweds rest,” Julian announced, waving his hand to signal everyone to stop. He was protective of his sister-in-law and was determined to prevent any pranks on the couple. Disappointed, the guests reluctantly dispersed.

Once the room was empty, Jasmine swiftly closed and locked the door. She then searched the room, ensuring no one was hiding before she sat on the bed and nudged Josh. “Stop pretending. They’ve all left. I checked everywhere; there’s no one hiding in this room.”

Josh opened his eyes, his expression surprisingly clear and sober. He sat up, looking concerned. “I need to check again. I got excited about pranking others at their weddings last time. They said they’d do the same to me, so we need to be cautious.”

He knew he would eventually face consequences for his previous pranks on others, and now it was his turn to be on guard. Fortunately, he had cleverly pretended to be drunk and avoided the situation.

Josh searched the room again, even opening the windows to check for any would-be pranksters lurking outside. After confirming there was no one there, he closed the windows and sighed in relief. “Pretending to be drunk wasn’t such a bad idea after all.”

Jasmine smiled and teased, “You have to watch out for pranks at your own wedding. Who told you to…”

“Were you really that wild back then, pulling pranks on others?”
“A marriage is a joyous occasion. Everyone was just having fun. We didn’t go overboard; we only pranked the groom, never the bride.”
Since the grooms were like brothers, they felt comfortable playing pranks. However, the bride was off-limits to ensure she wasn’t scared on her first day as part of the family.
Josh had pulled too many pranks on people during their weddings in the past, which is why he worried that everyone would seek revenge on his big day.
