Married at First Sight Chapter 1524

Chapter 1524
As long as Elisa remained unmarried, Serenity would always feel as though she had taken Elisa’s happiness.
Elisa had deep feelings for Zachary, yet it was Serenity who ended up marrying him.
Thus, Serenity genuinely hoped that Elisa would soon find her own partner. She would feel at ease only if Elisa found her happiness.
Elisa had never blamed Serenity; she didn’t believe Serenity had taken Zachary from her.
Elisa believed that she and Zachary were destined to meet but not meant to be together.
This had nothing to do with Serenity.
The truth was that Zachary did not love her.
Even if Serenity hadn’t been in the picture, other women would still pursue him.
Elisa preferred Serenity over anyone else.
She had previously boasted that Zachary had to acknowledge her as his cousin after being with Serenity. She found secret joy in knowing she could make that arrogant, cold man refer to her as family.
–“Seren.”
Elisa grasped Serenity’s hand.
“Don’t feel guilty on my behalf. You haven’t wronged me.”
She understood Serenity’s feelings.
“I will be happy. I won’t settle for less in marriage. I’ll find a good man to marry so I can enjoy true happiness.”
Serenity nodded in agreement.
After Elisa finished her glass of juice and opened up to her best friend, she knew what decision to make.
She left in the evening.
Meanwhile, at York Corporation, Zachary left the office carrying a large bouquet just as work was ending.
This was the bouquet that Serenity had personally given to him earlier in the day.
Though he was a grown man who didn’t particularly care for flowers, he cherished this gift from his wife and would treasure it as if it were a piece of grass.
After taking the elevator to the first floor, he encountered Josh, who was taking a different elevator down.
Upon

As soon as he saw Josh, Zachary instinctively hugged the bouquet closer. He wasn’t worried about Josh stealing his flowers; he was intentionally trying to draw Josh’s attention with his actions.

Josh smiled and remarked, “Serenity sent it, right? The bouquet is beautiful.”

Zachary maintained his aloof and haughty demeanor as he replied, “Seren gave it to me. I’ll only appreciate the flowers she gives me. I won’t even glance at flowers from anyone else. It’s beautiful, isn’t it? I think it looks great too.”

“Josh, I remember there’s a flower vase in your office. Where did you buy it? Is there a larger one available?”

“I want to get one bigger than yours. It can’t be helped—the bouquet my wife gave me is too large. I have no choice but to find a larger vase to accommodate it.”

Josh inwardly complained about his friend. It was just a bouquet from his wife, yet Zachary was acting so smug about it.

Zachary was behaving like a teenager rather than the CEO of York Corporation. Ever since he fell in love with Serenity, the calm and steady side of him had vanished.

Josh thought his friend was being childish. However, if Jasmine sent him a bouquet, he would probably show it off around the office, boasting about their romantic relationship.

“Do you really need to buy a vase? You should move one of the antique vases from your house to the office and use it there. Then you can arrange the flowers Serenity gave you in that vase. What a great idea!”

Zachary nodded in agreement. “Your suggestion isn’t bad.”
