Married at First Sight Chapter 1516

Chapter 1516
“Do you still experience morning sickness, Ally? You’re three months along now, right?” Old Mrs. York asked with concern.
Alice, who was seated nearby, replied, “Yes, it’s been three months. I still have morning sickness about half an hour after eating. I only feel better after vomiting. My mom mentioned that I might have to deal with morning sickness until I give birth.”
Despite suffering from severe morning sickness and feeling terrible each time she vomited, Alice’s love for the baby in her womb remained strong.
She would soon be able to feel fetal movements.
At her three-month mark, Alice visited the hospital for a checkup and ultrasound. After reviewing the doctor’s report, the doctor confirmed that the baby’s fetal movements were ideal.
However, she couldn’t feel the movements yet, as they were still too subtle.
According to her readings, fetal movements could typically be felt after sixteen weeks, and as the fetus grew, the movements would become more noticeable.
Previously, Clive had wanted her to terminate the pregnancy. However, after receiving the ultrasound report three months later, he couldn’t take his eyes off it. Although he didn’t fully understand the report, he couldn’t bring himself to part with it.
Alice recognized that Clive was looking forward to the child, but he was also extremely worried about her morning sickness, which led him to desperately want her to have an abortion.
Fortunately, he stopped suggesting the abortion after everyone else urged him not to.
Whenever Clive saw her vomiting, he would express concern for her while scolding the baby in her womb.
He would say, “I’ll spank your little butt once you’re out, little one. Look at how much you’re tormenting your mother.”
Alice gently touched her belly.
Grandma May remarked, “There’s not much that can be done about morning sickness. Some people experience it until they give birth.”

I recall when Tania experienced severe vomiting while pregnant with Kevin, which continued until she gave birth. Interestingly, she had no morning sickness during her pregnancies with Zack and Peter; it only occurred when she was expecting Kevin.

“Tania even believed her third child would be a daughter due to her different experiences, yet it turned out to be another son,” I heard someone say.

Upon hearing this, Alice smiled and remarked, “I suppose I’ll be dealing with morning sickness until my due date as well.”

“Being a mom is certainly not easy,” Grandma May sighed.

“You mustn’t let yourself go hungry, even if you’re vomiting, Ally. I think you’re getting thinner. After three months, fetuses require increasingly more nutrients. If you don’t eat, the baby will take nutrients from your body, and you’ll become even skinnier.”

Mrs. Stone added, “Alice doesn’t vomit much when she has soup. I’ve been encouraging her to include more soup at every meal.”

Alice replied, “I’ll eat, Grandma May. I do vomit frequently, but I have a healthy appetite and crave everything.”

Grandma May nodded in approval. “That’s wonderful.”

Just then, a maid approached Mrs. Stone and announced, “The food is served, madame.”

Mrs. Stone nodded, and the maid stepped back.

“Let’s enjoy our meal first, Old Mrs. York,” Mrs. Stone suggested.

Grandma May accepted with a smile, saying, “River and I are fortunate to enjoy a free meal here.”

Mr. and Mrs. Stone smiled back. “It’s an honor to have you join us for a meal, Old Mrs. York.”

“Let’s not speak of honor,” she replied. “We’re family now and will be interacting frequently. You two must have plenty of free time since you’re retired and at home. Please come to visit us often. My sons and daughters-in-law are also retired and are quite bored at home.”

“You’re all peers and will get along well. Feel free to invite them for events whenever you wish.”

Mrs. Stone nodded. “I’ll join them for a game of poker soon. With your three daughters-in-law and me, we have a solid group of players.” Grandma May smiled. “It’s been ages since I last played poker.”
