While Sonny attended class, Serenity went to the hospital with Zachary.
As they passed by Spring Blossoms, she asked Zachary to stop. She stepped out of the car and entered the store to purchase a bouquet of flowers.
Camryn was not present in the store.
“Is your boss making a delivery?” Serenity inquired of the store assistant.
“Our boss left early this morning to pick up supplies and will likely return around ten o’clock. Is there something important you need to ask her, Mrs. York? I can have her call you when she gets back,” the assistant replied.
Serenity nodded. “Okay, please tell her to call me when she returns.”
The assistant agreed and escorted Serenity out of the store.
With the bouquet in hand, Serenity got back into the car and informed Zachary as she closed the door, “Camryn isn’t in the store. She went out first thing this morning to pick up goods and won’t be back until around ten o’clock. Please let Callum know that I might not be able to leave at ten. I can only go over if Jasmine is at the store.”
Zachary replied, “Don’t worry about him. He is reaping what he sows. I already gave him two days off. If he can’t manage his own tasks by now, I’ll start to question his abilities.”
“I promised him I would put in a good word for him, so I need to honor that promise. After all, I’m his sister-in-law,” Serenity responded.
She thought about how Zachary had eight younger cousins, and if they all sought her help, she could probably establish a marriage counseling business.
It was all due to her position as their eldest sister-in-law.
Zachary fell silent and drove his wife to the hospital.

“I think among you and your friends, you’re the slowest when it comes to relationships. When Mr. Lewis realized his feelings, he immediately started bringing flowers and soup. Mr. Bucham’s emotional intelligence is ten times yours. In the past, you only knew how to sulk and demand my obedience 100%.”

Zachary cleared his throat and blushed slightly. “Honey, we’re at the hospital. There are many people coming in and out. Please don’t embarrass me.”

“I’m not yelling for the whole world to hear,” Serenity whispered before raising her voice to call out to Duncan.

“Yes, I brought breakfast for my sister. What brings you here, Mr. Lewis?” Zachary winked at his friend.

Duncan thought, ‘Wow! Is that really Zachary? Did he just wink at me?’

If Zachary could read Duncan’s thoughts, he would have been speechless.

“I—I—I came to see Liberty and bring her some tonic soup to help her recover.”

Serenity looked at the insulated lunch box he was carrying and said, “I also brought tonic soup for her, along with breakfast. Nana and my aunt often send soup over too.”
