Chapter 1490
Could Josh really organize a talent show for Julian?
After peeling a plate full of shrimp for his beloved wife, Zachary removed his disposable gloves and said in a deep voice, “I’ve heard about the disease.”
“Julian, let nature take its course. How about I introduce you to my nana’s most trusted fortune teller? He can predict whether you’ll be forever alone or will have many children and grandchildren.”
Julian inquired, “Grandma May’s most trusted psychic? If she has so much faith in him, he must be genuinely skilled.”
He held Grandma May in high regard and believed in her insights.
“Julian, let Grandma May’s trusted psychic see if there’s someone who can save you, okay?” Josh urged impatiently. He turned to Zachary, saying, “Zachary, please call your nana later and ask her to introduce the psychic to my brother.”
Serenity stifled a laugh.
She tried her best to contain it.
Zachary replied seriously, “Alright, I’ll call her when I get back.”
Julian regarded Zachary with an indescribable expression.
Zachary calmly held his gaze.
“Aunt Ser, I want some water,” a childish voice piped up, breaking the tension.
“Okay,” Serenity responded.
She was about to pour Sonny a cup of warm water when Zachary stepped in to do it.
Shortly after, Zachary returned with the water for Sonny.
“Thank you, Uncle Zak,” Sonny said politely.
Julian looked at Sonny and turned to Serenity, asking, “Serenity, he’s your nephew, right? He’s adorable and well-mannered.”
Serenity affectionately ruffled her nephew’s hair. “Yes, his name is Sonny.”
“Uncle Jul, you look very cute too,” Sonny complimented Julian in return.
Everyone laughed.
Julian chuckled and replied, “Little buddy, I’m an adult now and can’t be
“You are described as cute.”
“Uncle Jul, you’re as handsome as Uncle Zak,” Sonny paraphrased.
Julian playfully teased him, “Who’s better looking? Me or your Uncle Zak?”
Without hesitation, Sonny replied, “Uncle Zak, of course.”
Laughter erupted again.
The little one clearly favored his family.
Zachary chuckled as well, knowing his affection for Sonny was reciprocated.
“Serenity.”
Amid the laughter and chatter, Callum softly called out to Serenity. When she turned to him, he whispered, “I didn’t see Camryn at the shop this afternoon. I think she’s avoiding me.”
Callum had also been unable to reach Camryn because she had changed her phone number.
The slap mark on Callum’s face had faded away.
“Serenity, can you help me get in touch with her?”
Callum no longer asked his sister-in-law to intervene on his behalf; he simply wanted to know where Camryn was right now.
