Married at First Sight Chapter 1486

Chapter 1486
Everyone envisioned Zachary arriving at work with a baby in his arms, and they couldn’t help but shudder at the thought!
The senior managers conversing with Serenity smiled and said, “Mrs. York, Mr. York has arrived. We’ll take our leave now.”
They preferred not to be a distraction.
Serenity beamed and nodded. Once the senior managers departed, she approached Zachary and the child with a smile.
“Zachary, make sure to hold him securely.”
Some parents fail to hold their children tightly while lifting or spinning them, which can lead to falls with serious consequences.
Zachary ceased lifting and spinning Sonny.
He lowered Sonny and held him securely, responding with a smile, “Don’t worry, I’ll hold him tight. I won’t let him fall, no matter what.”
“Sonny, am I doing well?”
Sonny replied, “Uncle Zak, you’re great—very great.”
The little boy thought, ‘If only you’d stop calling me a third wheel, you’d be even better.’
After finishing his sentence, Sonny wrapped his arms around Zachary and kissed him on the cheek. Then, acting shy, he buried his head in Zachary’s shoulder.
Zachary beamed after receiving a kiss from the little one.
He turned to Serenity and said, “No wonder Duncan is so fond of Sonny. This little guy is truly charming and lovable.”
Serenity chuckled and replied, “Don’t you know who raised him? I raised him, so of course he’s adorable.”
Zachary gazed at his wife.
“Why are you looking at me like that? What I said is true—I helped raise Sonny.”
“You’re correct, you’re correct. I just wanted to see how thick-skinned my wife has become since being with me.”
“You admit to being thick-skinned.”
Serenity took hold of one of Zachary’s arms.

The two of them stepped outside together. Zachary chuckled and said, “I’m certainly shameless around you. Nana tends to criticize me the most. Sometimes, she calls me out so frequently that I question whether I’m really her grandson.”

Serenity couldn’t help but laugh when she remembered Grandma May’s past verbal jabs at Zachary. However, she restrained herself, wanting to maintain her image as the CEO’s wife.

“Nana only criticizes her grandsons. She enjoys teasing those who are closest to her but is polite and gentle with outsiders. Everyone says she’s kind and generous.”

Zachary had no response to that. Serenity was right. It made sense that Grandma May adored Serenity so much; she truly suited her taste.

“Was everything okay this afternoon?” Zachary asked Serenity.

“You know best whether everything was fine.” Zachary’s men were always discreetly watching over her. He could easily learn about her whereabouts if he chose to.

Serenity added, “What could happen to me now? They’ve been caught and are awaiting sentencing.”

Nonetheless, she had learned a lesson from the experience. Mischievous individuals were challenging to handle. Serenity resolved to avoid offending petty people in the future. This time, she had upset Mrs. Newman and her daughter to help Camryn. The mother and daughter were ruthless. Now, 90% of Mrs. Newman’s underhanded operations had been dismantled, and the remaining forces were being pursued by the police. This case had largely concluded.

“Oh, there are still a few things on my mind. It’s about Elisa and Remy. I wonder when they’ll finally reveal the truth.”

Zachary leaned closer and whispered in her ear, “That’s their concern. You should focus on our wedding.”

“Isn’t it still early?”

They had several months left to prepare. Serenity was not…

She wasn’t in a hurry at all; in fact, she felt there was still plenty of time. Zachary mentioned that he had asked a world-renowned bridal designer to create a wedding dress for her, but that designer had not arrived yet. Serenity wasn’t concerned about these details, as she trusted Zachary to handle everything beautifully.
