Married at First Sight Chapter 1478

Chapter 1478
“Grandma and Grandpa, these supplements are quite expensive, but they are ideal for older adults like you. Please keep them for yourselves and don’t share with others.”
Liberty couldn’t consume that much herself. While she didn’t give her grandparents money, she could provide them with supplements.
They had caused the sisters considerable pain in the past. Even if they wanted to assist her with her current problems, she couldn’t forgive them right away.
Her sister must have offered them something to persuade them to help her.
“Liberty, since you’re in the hospital, you should keep the supplements for yourself.”
Although Old Mrs. Hunt verbally declined, she allowed her youngest grandson to take the large bag.
Liberty ushered the three of them out of the ward and instructed Noah to look after his grandparents. Then she returned to her room and called her sister again.
Meanwhile, at Lewis & Co., Duncan had just finished discussing a deal with a client and was about to send the client downstairs when his secretary approached him. The secretary whispered, “Mr. Lewis, Mrs. Lewis is here.”
“I understand,” Duncan replied.
He had anticipated that his mother would come.
He had encountered her earlier when visiting Liberty in the hospital, so he suspected she would visit him again.
It had only been three hours, yet his mother had come all the way to his office.
Duncan personally escorted the client downstairs.
He met his mother on the first floor.
Mrs. Lewis watched her son as he escorted his client and remained silent, waiting patiently.
Ten minutes later, Duncan returned inside, approached his mother, and asked, “Don’t you have any plans for the afternoon?”
“You young people are the busy ones, while your dad and I are at home just passing the time,” she replied.

“What plans do I have? Your father went to play golf with his friends, and since there’s no one to keep me company, I decided to come here and sit with you,” Mrs. Lewis said.

“Is Ms. Harmon not available today?” Duncan asked.

“Do you think she’s just sitting around? She has a job too! Besides, how could she spend the whole day with me? She’s a dutiful girl; as long as you give her a title, she’ll make time for me. Unlike you, who disappears for days and only frustrates me when you finally come home,” Mrs. Lewis complained as she walked.

Duncan replied, “But don’t you have three daughters-in-law? None of my sisters-in-law work, and you have grandchildren to look after. If you’re bored, why don’t you spend time with them?”

The family business had been taken over by his first two brothers, while his third brother held a significant position within it as well. His three sisters-in-law had all chosen to stay home after marriage to raise their children.

Mrs. Lewis shot Duncan a glare and said, “Don’t try to push me away. I’m going to keep an eye on you until you marry Lily.”

Only then would she feel at ease. In short, as long as she was around, she would not allow her youngest son to be with Liberty. Even if he blamed her for it, she didn’t care. He would understand her reasons in the future.

Duncan frowned and insisted, “Mom, I will not marry Ms. Harmon!”
