Married at First Sight Chapter 1422

Chapter 1422
Serenity felt guilty for not being by her sister’s side due to the argument she had with him. How would she react if she discovered that her fertility was being discussed online?
100?
“Alright, let’s head back to the manor. Nana mentioned that Sonny was too frightened and should consult a psychic. My mom said I frequently visited psychics when I was a child, too.”
After they got into the car, Zachary said, “I’m not sure when Nana became so superstitious. That psychic also looked into our fate and claimed we were destined to be husband and wife. That’s why Nana has been so determined to bring us together.”
Serenity was taken aback. “Is that the reason? I thought it was because Nana appreciated my personality, but it turns out I was mistaken—it was a psychic who united us.”
Zachary held Sonny’s hand with one hand and grasped hers with the other. “This psychic is quite good.”
He was right; it was true that Zachary and Serenity were meant to be husband and wife.
Now, they were a married couple.
Unfortunately, they were only destined to be married in this lifetime. Zachary wished to be with Serenity in all of his future lives.
However, a person only lives once. Being married in this lifetime was sufficient.
“Nana also wanted the psychic to assess the geomancy of our house, but he said analyzing energy isn’t his area of expertise. He advised us to find another diviner.”
The York family struggled to have a daughter. Zachary suggested to his nana that it might be due to the energy in their living environment.
That was why she invited the psychic over.
The psychic was quite skilled at fortune-telling, but he did not specialize in energy readings. A diviner was brought to Wildridge Manor to check if there were any…

There were no issues discovered. However, the psychic informed Grandma May that when he examined Zachary and Serenity’s futures, he envisioned them having both a son and a daughter. Zachary recalled the joyful grin on his nana’s face as she shared this news. Who wouldn’t want a son and a daughter? He certainly did.

“What’s on your mind?” Serenity asked curiously, noticing his shift in thoughts. She pulled away from his embrace to look at him.

Sonny, having learned from his aunt, also gazed up at Zachary. “The psychic said we’re destined to have a son and a daughter, so you should stop worrying about children, Serenity. If we’re meant to have kids, they’ll come when the time is right. If something is destined to happen, it will.”

Serenity remained silent for a while before letting out a sigh. “Okay, I’ll stop thinking about it.” Regardless of whether the psychic was merely speaking comforting words or genuinely had the ability to predict their future children, she decided it was best not to pressure herself any longer.

“Are you sleepy, Sonny? Lean on me and take a little nap,” Zachary encouraged, bowing his head gently.

Sonny nestled in his arms, saying, “I don’t want to sleep, Uncle Zack. It’s scary.” He was haunted by dreams of his mother covered in blood.

Zachary held him tightly. “Don’t be afraid. You have nothing to worry about with Uncle Zack around. Your aunt will wake you up for dinner when we get home, and then we’ll go back to sleep. We’ll stay with your mom tonight, okay?”

Sonny nodded obediently, feeling safe in his Uncle Zack’s embrace. Although he claimed he was scared and didn’t dare to sleep, he quickly drifted off. He hadn’t rested well for the past two days; after all, he was just a three-year-old.

After all, he had reached his limit. Despite this, he continued to experience nightmares and woke up multiple times during the journey back to Wildridge Manor. Each time he awoke in tears, it broke Serenity’s and Zachary’s hearts. Zachary instructed the driver to accelerate, eager to return to the manor as soon as possible. They intended to have the psychic examine Sonny.
