Married at First Sight Chapter 1375

Chapter 1375
Ring, ring, ring…
Jasmine’s phone rang.
She glanced at the caller ID before telling her best friend, “It’s Josh. I think your man might have reached out to him. He’s probably calling to check where you are.”
Serenity replied softly, “Just ignore him. Does he think he’s the only one with a temper? I can be fiery too.”
Always supportive, Jasmine believed her best friend was justified in her feelings.
Serenity was typically a confident and cheerful person, but her worries about not being pregnant had to stem from pressure exerted by her partner, Zachary.
Jasmine felt sympathy for her best friend.
She wanted to help Serenity give Zachary a taste of his own medicine.
Ring, ring, ring…
With the phone ringing continuously, Jasmine finally decided to answer the call.
“What are you up to, Jasmine? Don’t you miss me? You took quite a while to pick up. I miss you so much! I was even thinking about driving over to check on you if you took any longer.”
The cheerful tone in Josh’s voice was the sweetest thing Jasmine had ever heard.
Josh treated her well, and they got along effortlessly. They had never experienced a disagreement since their blind date.
Sometimes, Jasmine felt that her love life was progressing too smoothly. After witnessing the arguments between Serenity and Zachary, and seeing Serenity feeling down and hurt, Jasmine believed that having a straightforward romance with Josh wasn’t such a bad thing.
“I didn’t have my phone with me. I was getting ready to shower when you called. I had to rush out of the bathroom to answer, which is why it took a bit,” Jasmine lied.
She smiled and added, “I miss you. I miss you every second of the day. I see you in my dreams…”

“I dream every time I go to bed,” she said. Josh smiled widely on the other end of the line. Serenity gleaned some insights from the conversation between her best friend and Josh. While she felt comfortable with Zachary, their relationship lacked the sweet talk that characterized Jasmine and Josh’s connection.

“Jasmine, can I call you my wife now?” Josh affectionately asked.

Jasmine responded with a grin, “We’re getting engaged in two days, and the wedding comes after the engagement. Once we get our marriage license, you won’t be able to escape; you will belong to me and only me. Who else will you call your wife if not me? I swear, I’ll skin you alive and feed you to the dogs if you choose someone else.”

Josh quickly reassured her, “I’ll only have you in my life. You will be my only wife. I miss you so much, wifey. But there’s one thing I need to ask—Is the CEO’s wife with you?”

Jasmine glanced at her best friend, confirming her suspicions. Whenever the couple had a disagreement, Zachary would immediately turn to Josh for help. Josh served as Zachary’s love consultant. It made little sense that Zachary denied Josh an extra month of marital leave, especially since Josh had worked tirelessly to assist him with his relationship. Jasmine was undeniably Josh’s beloved, and they both shared the same desire for an additional month away from work.

“What’s the matter?” Jasmine responded to Josh with a question, taking her time to answer.

Josh sighed before replying, “Oh, you know my boss. He got into another argument with his wife. It’s a small issue, yet he’s making a big deal out of it. Our dear CEO’s wife won’t take his calls or respond to his messages. He panicked when he got home and realized his wife was missing, so he came to me for help.”

“So, darling, our CEO’s wife is with you…
