Married at First Sight Chapter 1372

Chapter 1372
Zachary replied, “I didn’t say anything hurtful. I simply left. Why would she feel hurt enough to cry?”
The thought of Serenity in tears shattered his heart.
“How would you feel if Serenity left you alone in the hospital?” Tania questioned her son.
Her son had no skills when it came to relationships. It was no surprise that Grandma May arranged Zachary’s marriage to Serenity to repay her kindness. With Zachary’s temperament, any woman would likely reject him.
Zachary pressed his lips together and stated, “It’s not like I can’t walk. I know how to get home, even if she doesn’t come with me.”
Tania was at a loss for words.
“I told her we’re fine health-wise, and there’s no need for a physical. She claimed I’m afraid of doctors and that I looked like I’d seen a ghost.”
Zachary complained, “She won’t believe me. She doesn’t trust me enough. She can’t get pregnant just because we want her to. I haven’t been married to her long. We can get a physical if we still can’t conceive in ten years or so.”
Tania was rendered speechless.
Honestly, Tania never thought she would want to physically reprimand her son, who had always been her pride and joy, if he had just stayed single.
“In a decade, you’ll be older. You’ll need time to address any issues if something shows up in the medical report. Seren would likely have a high-risk pregnancy by then. You idiot! God knows what goes on in that head of yours! Is it too much to ask for a medical examination?”
Liam also expressed his frustration to his son.
“The issue isn’t about getting a check-up or not. He left Seren alone in the hospital and took off. Zachary, don’t come running to us for help if Serenity decides to give you the silent treatment. You’ve earned it. You still think Serenity is just being difficult, and that’s…

“You’re not the problem,” Tania said as she rose to her feet and pulled her husband up. “Come on, Liam. I won’t be able to maintain my image as a lady if I keep listening to him.”

Liam walked into the house with his wife. As soon as he stepped inside, he addressed the maid, “Tell the kitchen that the extra serving is no longer needed.”

The maid looked puzzled. “But Mr. Zachary is back.”

“Don’t worry about him!” Liam replied.

The maid, unsure of what had transpired, felt it was not her place to ask, especially since Liam and Tania appeared furious. She discreetly went to the kitchen and relayed the message to the chef.

Zachary sat outside in silence for a moment before entering the house. It quickly dawned on him that his parents had already had dinner. Upon his arrival, Tania instructed the maid, “Clear the table. We don’t have much left, so just throw it away.”

“Mom, I haven’t eaten,” Zachary protested.

“Well, there’s nothing for you here. You have a wife and your own family now. Go home and have dinner with her,” Tania replied, wishing to send her son away.

Zachary shot back, “Mom… this is my home too.”

“You’re not welcome here as long as you’re not with Seren,” she countered.

Zachary frowned. “Am I your child, or is Seren your child, Mom?”

“I give Seren more love and attention because she’s not my child; I want her to feel the warmth of a home,” Tania responded.

Zachary pursed his lips and turned to his father.

Liam said, “Don’t look at me. You’re fortunate that your nana isn’t here; she would make you question yourself if she were. You should be glad that your mom and I don’t have a sharp tongue like your nana.”
