Married at First Sight Chapter 1371

Chapter 1371
“Your nana mentioned that the family will reward five hundred million dollars to whoever brings a daughter into the family. Your mom and I will contribute too, but we won’t match your nana’s amount. We will add five hundred million dollars to the pot as well.”
Liam and his wife possessed personal assets totaling several hundred million dollars.
For them, the additional five hundred million dollars was a significant amount.
“No one has claimed the five hundred million dollars yet. Zack, perhaps you and Seren will be lucky.”
Tania joyfully added, “If you give us a granddaughter, I’ll gift half of my jewelry to her.”
Zachary glanced at his parents.
He patiently waited for a moment of joy between them before quietly saying, “The pregnancy test was negative.”
“Negative?”
Liam turned his focus to his wife, whose smile faltered. Tania reassured, “It’s alright. You’re still young, having only been married for six months. Your wedding reception hasn’t even happened yet. There’s no need to hurry. We’re bound to receive good news since you haven’t used any protection.”
“Oh, she’s not pregnant.”
Disheartened, Liam remarked, “I thought I would finally be able to reward my daughter-in-law.”
Tania quickly comforted him, “It’s fine that she’s not pregnant yet. They’re young; there’s no need to rush. The wedding preparations are still in progress. If she were pregnant now, her belly would show at the wedding, and there would be a bump in their wedding photos. Zack, has Seren’s wedding dress been custom ordered?”
As Serenity was the matriarch of the York family, she needed a designer to create a dress for her.
Zachary had yet to have a wedding dress specially designed for his wife…
It suddenly occurred to him that he

He had set many matters aside, likely believing he still had time before the wedding. “We got pregnant early, didn’t we, Tania? You had Zack by the time we returned from our honeymoon.” Liam had no ulterior motive in making this remark. However, Zachary interpreted it differently. He thought his parents might claim they weren’t in a rush to have a grandchild, but the reality was they were eager. They probably believed that he and Serenity should be expecting a baby since they had been married for months. His mother had him soon after returning from her honeymoon, and now, after five months of being officially together with Serenity, they still weren’t expecting.

Could their health be a factor? Since Mrs. Stone mentioned that frequent intimacy could influence the chances of conception, Zachary had been holding back for a few nights, merely holding Serenity as she slept.

“Zack, did you have a fight with Seren because she isn’t pregnant?” Tania asked, narrowing her eyes at her husband as she sensed something was off. Zachary paused before responding, “Seren was concerned there might be a health issue and suggested we get a check-up. I refused because I believe both of us are healthy. We take care of ourselves, so I doubt there’s any issue.

“She asked if I was afraid of doctors. Anyway, she insisted on the medical examination, but I didn’t want to go. Then… I got angry and left her.”

Liam and Tania were left speechless. Moments later, Tania raised her hand and slapped Zachary. Liam, in frustration, hurled the chessboard at his son. The board and pieces, which had been neatly stored, crashed down onto Zachary.

Scattered on the ground, Zachary winced and grimaced. He glanced at his parents and said, “What’s the issue with getting a physical? Just think of it as an annual check-up. If you really don’t want to go through with it, then why did you abandon Seren? You’re hurting her; she probably feels upset and wants to cry.” Tania shouted at her son, “When are you going to work on that temper of yours?”
