Married at First Sight Chapter 1369

Chapter 1369
The bodyguards closed in and focused their attention on Serenity.
“Missus.”
Taking a few deep breaths, Serenity attempted to steady herself. “I’m fine.”
She glanced down at the urine test results crumpled in her hands, folded the paper, and tucked it into her pocket before walking away.
The security team trailed her as she exited the hospital and headed to the parking lot.
As they walked, the bodyguards hoped that Mr. Zachary would be waiting for her in the car.
Although Mr. Zachary had a temper, he was all bark and no bite when it came to arguments with the missus. He would never abandon her.
Unfortunately, the bodyguards were about to be disappointed.
They followed Serenity into the parking lot, but Zachary’s car was nowhere to be found; only the two vehicles belonging to the bodyguards remained.
Serenity turned her head back and asked, “Where’s your car key?”
One of the bodyguards retrieved his car key, and Serenity extended her hand. The bodyguard hesitated momentarily before handing the key over to her.
“You can stop following me now.”
“Missus,” the bodyguards protested.
Serenity unlocked the car, opened the door, and reassured them, “I’m okay. You can go back to him.” She then drove away.
The bodyguards stood there, watching as Serenity drove off in the bodyguard’s car.
Serenity was in a bad mood.
After leaving the hospital, she drove aimlessly, simply steering forward as long as there was a road ahead.
Night was beginning to fall.
Serenity was unaware of how long or how far she had been driving. She was on and off the highway, gradually entering an area where cars were few and far between.
Both sides of the road were lined with trees, and she found herself nowhere near a

residential area. Serenity remained in the car, staring blankly into space without getting out. After a while, she took out her phone to check for activity, but there was none—no incoming calls or text messages. She decided against contacting Zachary since he hadn’t reached out to her. Serenity felt she hadn’t done anything wrong. Was it unreasonable to request a medical check-up? If everything turned out fine, they could consider it an annual health examination. Early detection warranted early intervention.

Zachary was accustomed to people following his orders, and he would feel challenged if that were not the case. If he chose not to contact her, so be it. Serenity resolved to give him the cold shoulder that evening. After a moment of silence, she turned the car around and headed for the city center. She entered the Soxes’ address into the GPS, having decided to spend the night at her best friend’s place.

Meanwhile, Zachary made his way to Wildridge Manor after leaving the hospital. Tania and her husband were outside, engrossed in a game of chess. A maid approached but remained silent, as the couple was deeply focused on their strategies. “What’s the matter?” Liam asked, smiling at his thoughtful wife before turning his attention to the maid. Since retiring and distancing himself from the family business, Liam had shed his stern and distant demeanor. Now, he was a changed man, known for his gentle disposition and good temper. Among the staff, he was regarded as the friendliest face at Wildridge Manor.
