Married at First Sight Chapter 1359

Chapter 1359
“Your parents see me as a fool. Do they think I’m wealthy? I’m just an Uber driver now!” Hank said to Jessica.
He had been in a foul mood ever since Liberty hung up on him. Consequently, he took his frustration out on the Yates family.
Jessica concurred that her parents were subtly asking for money. Her mother had done the same during her previous visits home. Regardless, Jessica had always contributed half of her salary to her family. No matter what her mother said afterward, she never gave more. Eventually, her mother stopped trying.
Even so, Jessica could not tolerate Hank’s complaints about her family. As flawed as they were, they were still her parents, along with her brothers and sisters-in-law.
“Don’t criticize my parents. They are my parents, and it was difficult for them to raise me. Now that you’re married to me, you’re their son-in-law. A son-in-law is like a son. What’s wrong with giving them some money for medical expenses?”
“Haven’t your parents ever asked you for money? And your outrageous sister is incredibly shameless. I’ve never encountered anyone so shameless. She’s been married for over ten years and still meddles in her family’s affairs.”
“Your parents and sister are the same. Hank, I’m only tolerating your family because I love you. Do you think another woman would put up with this?”
Hank had started the car, but he turned off the engine when he heard Jessica criticize his family. He retorted, “What’s wrong with my parents asking me for some living expenses? You were raised by your parents; I wasn’t?”
“Was it easy for my parents to raise me? You claim that a son-in-law is like a son, so I should honor your parents. Since you married into my family and became a daughter-in-law of the Browns, shouldn’t you honor my parents too? My sister has…

“It’s always been like this. What can I do? I can’t sever ties with her—she’s my only sister!”

Jessica responded, “Do you truly believe that your sister is family for life, while your wife is easily replaceable? Is that why you continue to support your sister and favor your family? The money you’ve given your parents has consistently been used to support your sister’s family’s expenses.”

“Your sister’s children were raised by your parents. The pensions and living expenses you provided have all gone to support her family. What has your sister contributed to your parents? What has she given back to you?”

“You often claim that my parents only care about helping my brothers, but why don’t you hold your parents accountable for supporting your sister? My brothers may not be wealthy, but isn’t your sister? Her savings definitely exceed yours! When your brother-in-law wanted to open a hardware store, they even asked to borrow money from us. Only someone as brazen as Chelsea would do something like that.”

“If she’s so capable, she should ask Liberty for money and inquire about her breakfast store. Liberty’s diner is thriving and brings in money every day. If she’s truly competent, she should turn to Liberty instead!”

Jessica’s anger intensified as she continued.

She must be delusional to think that marrying Hank could alter her destiny. Jessica failed to see the reality of Liberty’s situation, believing she could control the Browns. She thought that Hank would always listen to her and stand by her side throughout her life.

However, once she transitioned from being his girlfriend to his wife, she realized just how naive she had been.

“Can you stop mentioning Liberty? My sister is thick-skinned? What about your family? How dare they demand a bride price of $777,777? Do they think I own a bank that prints money? Are they truly marrying off their daughter?”

“Or are you selling her off? If I had met their requirements, they would’ve used the money for your brothers anyway.”

“Your mom sold her daughter and used the money to help someone else’s daughter. She doesn’t care what happens to her daughter after the marriage,” Hank shot back, his expression darkening.

Neither Hank nor Jessica was willing to back down. They stood by their families and ended up in a heated argument in the car.

When Hank realized he couldn’t win the argument, he abruptly exited the car, went around to the passenger side, and forcibly pulled Jessica out. “You can walk back to your biased family,” he said furiously. “I, Hank Brown, refuse to be your family’s ATM. My money doesn’t come from thin air!”

After that, Hank returned to his seat and sped away.

Jessica shouted and cursed at the receding car, and in the end, she yelled, “Hank Brown, let’s get a divorce!”

The wedding hadn’t even taken place yet, but she felt she could no longer continue with Hank.

Hank drove off, oblivious to Jessica’s plea for a divorce. Tears of frustration streamed down her face.
