Married at First Sight Chapter 1356

Chapter 1356
Hank stated, “Even if I buy a small suit for Sonny, I have to take him with me. I don’t know his size. What if it’s too big or too small?”
Liberty promptly provided him with Sonny’s size, saying, “Purchase his suit according to this size. It will fit him.”
“Liberty, are you trying to prevent me from spending time with my son? When we divorced, we agreed that I could see my son whenever I wanted. Now that I miss him and want to buy some clothes for him, you won’t even let me see him.”
Liberty immediately hung up the phone.
Ever since her suspicions about Jessica arose, she had become reluctant to let Hank take Sonny away again.
Hank likely listened to Jessica without realizing she was manipulating him. When Jessica suggested that Sonny be their flower boy, he agreed without much consideration.
He also believed there was no need to find someone else for the role, so he allowed Sonny to take it on.
Sonny was articulate and sensible, and being slightly taller than his peers made him a suitable candidate for the flower boy role.
Hank felt that his son was becoming more handsome, which would make him prouder if Sonny became the flower boy, especially since he was Mr. York’s nephew.
“What do you think?” Jessica asked.
Hank moved his phone away from his ear to show her and replied angrily, “Liberty hung up on me. She’s starting to disregard me even more now. She answers my calls when it suits her and hangs up when she doesn’t want to listen anymore.”
Jessica suppressed a laugh at Hank’s words.
Hank had been coddled by Liberty in the past and was accustomed to being treated with respect.
He expected Liberty to continue flattering him.
“Hank, it’s been months since you and Liberty divorced, and you still haven’t adjusted?”
Hank was

Speechless.

“Where are Liberty and Sonny now? If she won’t send him to us, we’ll go pick him up,” she said.

Hank replied, “She said they’re at Serenity’s place. Serenity lives in Brynfield, but we can’t get in. Liberty won’t let me take Sonny to try on his suit, but she’s okay with him being the flower boy and asked me to just buy a kid’s suit for him. She told me his size and mentioned that the suit will fit him if we buy it accordingly.”

“Buy? We should just rent it. How are we supposed to choose a suit without bringing Sonny along?”

Hank looked at her and suggested, “What if we just buy a kid’s suit for Sonny? As his father, I should be the one to buy him clothes.”

“Now that I know his size, I can get the right clothes for him without needing him to be there.”

Jessica frowned. “Hank, I think Liberty just doesn’t want us to get close to Sonny, fearing that we’ll take her place in his heart. Even though I’m his stepmom and considered his mom, how can I compete with his biological mother?”

“She feels threatened now and is preventing you from seeing Sonny whenever you want, which is what you agreed to during the divorce. If she won’t let you take Sonny shopping for clothes as his dad, doesn’t that indicate she doesn’t want you to bond with him?”

Hank already sensed that Liberty was trying to limit his time with his son. After hearing Jessica’s perspective, he felt even more convinced that Liberty was becoming bolder and was not keeping her promise.
