Married at First Sight Chapter 1300

Chapter 1300
“How about six months?” “Oh, I’ll take it!”
Julian smiled and said, “Why don’t you also take maternity leave? Mr. York, just let him go. Grant him the two-month marital leave, and not a day more. If he doesn’t return to work when the two months are over, I’ll tie him up and deliver him to you.”
“Hey, I’m your family, you know.”
“I don’t even care if he’s my brother. Besides, you’re only my cousin.”
Josh quipped, “I can’t rely on you for anything…”
Of course, he was joking.
The two-month marital leave was more than sufficient.
Since Jasmine, Serenity, and Elisa were currently collaborating on a project, Jasmine was focused on making it successful and profitable.
Julian finished his drink and said, “It’s getting late, Mr. York. You should head back and get some rest.”
Zachary stood up and thanked Julian once more before Josh escorted him out.
Several minutes later, Zachary’s fleet of vehicles departed from the Buchams’ residence.
The night was deepening.
The darkest moments would soon give way to light.
As the sun rose, a new day began.
Instead of opening her business that day, Serenity went to help at her sister’s diner first thing in the morning.
Upon arriving at All You Can Eat, Serenity noticed her nephew sleeping on two chairs pushed together. Feeling sympathetic, she said to her sister, “Why don’t you and Sonny move in with me? Sonny can sleep in while you’re up early, so he doesn’t have to wake up with you.”
“He’s at a growth stage. Lack of sleep could impact his development,” Liberty replied as she prepared broth. She had come in early to the diner.

Every morning, Liberty prepared a new batch of broth. “I’ll wake you up since I get up so early. I’ll talk to Sonny and see if he wants to stay with you, but I’m not moving there,” she said.

There was bound to be noise when Liberty got ready in the morning, and she often felt bad for waking her sister and brother-in-law. Zachary was already busy, and he certainly didn’t need the added burden of losing sleep.

“What do you want to eat, Seren?” Liberty asked her sister while making breakfast for herself. “Does Zachary know you’re here? I think he’s not working today, right? You should keep him company since you’re both free.”

“I want tomato basil pasta with bacon bits. It’s been a while since I had that because Zachary doesn’t eat bacon or basil,” Serenity replied.

Serenity helped her sister in the kitchen as they noticed people starting to fill the streets. Soon enough, customers would be arriving at the diner for breakfast.

Many major companies were closed for the day; however, workers at smaller factories were rushing production to meet orders. They couldn’t catch a break even on weekends.

All You Can Eat was well-known for its broth and diverse menu items. Although the diner had only recently opened, Liberty already had a loyal customer base.

Other shop owners on the same street enjoyed dining at Liberty’s, which left operators of nearby restaurants feeling envious. Yet, they lacked the courage to create a fuss at All You Can Eat, especially since security had been bolstered on the street.

They had also seen that troublemakers at All You Can Eat did not fare well. The only option left for them was to stew in their jealousy.
