Remy led Zachary into the highly sought-after villa, which was situated on an expansive piece of land.
“Mr. York, please excuse the mess; the place is still under renovation,” Remy said. “I hope you don’t mind.”
He took Zachary for a stroll around the yard. The renovation had commenced inside the house, making it resemble a complete construction site. Although building supplies were piled up outside, the yard was in better shape than the interior.
The landscape remained untouched for now; Remy had chosen to keep the decades-old trees as Elisa had advised against removing them.
“How much longer will the renovation take?” Zachary asked, his voice husky.
After careful consideration, Remy replied, “I should be able to move in next year.”
The extensive renovations to the structure were the primary reason for the lengthy timeline.
“Renovations can be time-consuming and disruptive. I usually leave those tasks to my butler,” he added.
All Zachary had to do was bring in his suitcase.
Remy smiled. “While I can delegate renovations for my other properties, this house holds special meaning for me. I want to take charge of it myself to achieve the results I envision. Starting over would only add more time.”
Tilting his head, Zachary looked at Remy with understanding. “You really need to put in the effort and make it special if you plan to turn this house into your marital home.”
Remy smiled again. “Absolutely. I want only the best. I’ve involved her in the planning to ensure she’ll be happy with the decor style. I even showed her the blueprints and asked for her input.”
Noticing Remy’s admission of feelings for Elisa, Zachary paused and regarded him intently. “So, are you saying you’ve fallen for Elisa, Mr. Johnson?”
