“You spend all day in your honey jar too, yet I don’t see you getting diabetes. I’m just starting out, so I have nothing to worry about. I’m heading to my date now. My Jasmine loves BBQ, so I’m taking her out for that,” Josh replied.
He hung up the phone.

Serenity opened a jackfruit, placed the flesh on a plate, and approached Zachary with it.
Zachary turned pale at the scent of the jackfruit.
He quickly stood up and moved away. “Honey, I really dislike the smell of jackfruit. You can enjoy it over there.”
Serenity paused. “You don’t like jackfruit? Then I’ll eat it myself. Honestly, it tastes quite good once you get used to it. I wasn’t fond of it at first, but I actually enjoy it now.”
Since marrying Zachary, she hadn’t bought jackfruit, so she was unaware of his aversion.

Serenity didn’t press the issue and sat at a distance. While eating, she asked him, “What did my sister say when she called you earlier?”
She had heard him mention Liberty’s name.
“She suspects that Jessica might know the group who tried to grab Sonny, which implies that Jessica either orchestrated the incident or collaborated with them.”
“Someone else.”
Serenity glanced at her husband, who was sitting some distance away. “Jessica?”
“Yeah, I asked Josh to look into her. I’ll update you when I have news. Seren, my sense of smell is quite strong. I can’t stand the odor. I’m going out to get some fresh air in the night breeze.”
Zachary stood up and started to leave.
